UT Houston (Fall 2014 applicants)

Published

Hello Future Nurses,

Wanted to know if anyone was preparing to take the Hesi a2, and or applying to UT Houston before the Jan. 15, 2014 deadline for Fall 2014???? I would like to form a study forum!!

Had anyone been accepted not received a transcript evaluation yet or have an admissions hold?

My science Gpa 3.75

Overall 3.62

Hesi

84.4

CT: 800

I was accepted:

Transcript Evaluation: Yes

Outstanding courses: Yes (2 history and 1 philosophy)

1st Bacc UT-Austin GPA: 3.6

Science GPA: 3.6

Prereq GPA: 3.6

HESI: 93% overall

CT: 870

1 year homebirth midwifery apprentice experience

Is the accelerated track more intensive than the traditional one? I know that uth doesn't have the traditional one anymore, and I know I could ask uth directly, but they don't seem very helpful.

I was accepted, my stats:

overall gpa: 3.298

pre-req gpa: 3.5

science gpa: 4.0

hesi overall: 92%

i was on the lower end of the spectrum, so I wasn't expecting to get in. Good luck everyone.

Congrats on being accepted! I believe everything for a BSN spring 2014 and after is now the pacesetter...which is the same time length with a different distribution on when classes are taken and the majority of the clinicals are in the final semester.

Specializes in CNA.
You can PM me your name and I'll invite you. (:

Hello all! Congrats on acceptance to all those that have been. Wanted to post my stats and see what chance I have, if any.

Prerequisite gpa 3.26

Science gpa 3.0 (barely cutting it...Chem was a killer)

Hesi overall 90%

88 vocab

92 grammar

88 reading comp

84 ap

98 math

Critical thinking 880

No prerequisites left to take, so now I'm stalking my email, praying to the Lord, and anxiously waiting on an acceptance (or denial). Good luck to everyone still tearing their hair out waiting for a reply!

I'm trying to understand which gpas are taken into consideration, as I have seen numerous individuals post three different ones?

Well, my transcript eval says I applied for the accelerated and it's 15 months compared to 16, so I'm concerned about the pace at which I will be expected to learn coupled with the lack of support. (I don't feel like uth really cares too much about their students) :/
