Hey all.

Just thought I would start a thread for USF nursing program-BSN for spring 2011 to see when people start hearing back and what not! Wishing everyone luck!:)

I plan to talk to someone sometime next week and hopefully things work out. But I plan to turn in my intent to enroll sometime next week also. (I live in SF so it shouldn't take too long to get there) :p USF helps out a lot financially. Right out of highschool, I got into USF as a biology major (but I wasn't sure what i wanted to major in, so i went to a CC instead) and USF actually offered me quite a lot of money. You live in SJ right? Try calling and talking to someone! :)

Just to make sure, yes, all transfer students need to take Nutrition (even if you took it at a CC) it's a new thing :\

Thanks. Ya I will call someone about it. But ya I am still going to submit my intent to enroll. Even though it is 8 semesters, it secures a spot for you for sure. And I figure that extra year would be the time and effort I would use trying to get into another program. I am excited and nervous, ya i took nutrition already....lame (had to for the CSU's) should be an easy A though.

yeah i took nutrition too (had to for dominican university), they did mention about a minor you could pick up! I'd probably do that for that one extra year, but hey, at least we got in? :)

haha ya that is true. Ya I am going to minor. I am a theater nerd at heart so I plan on during some recreational theater during that time and minor in it. And I have been working pretty hard in school (to get into a nursing program) so it will be nice to take a mental (and probably emotional) break before diving into an intense nursing program.

I am excited, sure I will see you soon around campus! :)

Congrats to those who have been accepted! I still have yet to hear back. Has everyone that has been accepted been told 8 semesters?

To God Be the Glory! I got accepted for Spring 2011. My husband got our mail this morning (sunday) and there was the big envelope from USF Congratulating me for BSN Spring 11 program. For those who are still waiting, let me encourage you to continue to pray for God's favor. Try also to call USF and ask for your appplication status, they will definitely say, wait till mid-December. At least they know that you're really interested to get in. they either ask for your name or your application ID #, so make sure you know when they ask.

Anyway, December 15 is the deadline to turn in "intent to enroll" form. If acceptance is received after Dec 15, you can still turn in the form 2 weeks of receipt of your acceptance letter.

congratulations hopefully omw2help and i can join everyone haha. still waiting i called to make sure on my status and they said they were still reviewing and had to make sure all my information was received. when did everyone submit there application cause i did not submit mine till the last week of the deadline like the 23rd of october. maybe that makes a difference in when people receive the information.
