USCIS Service Centers

Do you have any idea why Vermont is now the slowest among the four service centers on the processing dates? It seems Nebraska is the most updated followed by Texas then California.

This came to my attention coz a lot of nurses have been applying for Vermont and now that it had slowed down, they were thinking if they made a mistake in submitting their petition there.

Hope somebody could enlighten us on this. Will really appreciate it. :nurse:

Hi stranger!!!!:specs:

Moi? :chuckle

Oh.....I've been lurking :chair:

Bebotwaiting...

We are on the same boat, USCIS asked for additional information last Nov.29 and I have checked with the recruiter and they have sent the RFE that was required but I have not heard from them. :o

Can you kindly pm me your agency?

For those who have filed at Texas Service Center, their processing date has moved to November 29 :)

I don't think we can really rely on the dates given on the USCIS website. My receipt date is Dec 2 and my I-140 was approved on Jan 16.

However they do provide an estimate which is better than having nothing at all.

I agree with DOminion, we cannot rely on the date on USCIS website. My I-140 approved 2 months before the date on website. My I-485 approved 3 months before the date on website......... immigration processing time is quite unpredictable.

The USCIS published processing dates is confusing me. I understand that they are not entirely reliable. However, if you compare the different service centers, it appears that filing in Texas would mean that the I-140 may be approved 5-6 months earlier than if the I-140 was filed in California. I already have an employer from California willing to sponsor my petition. I wonder if it would be better to try to find an employer in Texas instead. I don't mind working in either state. The downside is that the filing of the I-140 will be delayed. Can anyone advise me?

Remember... To get greencard is two step process.. 1. approval of I-140 and then 2. approval of I-485...

Who know? California may process I-485 faster than I-I40... and on top of this, processing time of each service center changes all the time... I think California used to be the fastest.. I think if you have filed the petition for months already, I wouldn't bother to change it... just go to the hospital you like is more important...

Just for those who want to know Vermont processing date has changed now to September 25th I know were not supposed to pay much notice, but you cant help having a little
