UPENN BSN MSN 2020

With the application deadline in ~30 days I figured, why not make a thread for applicants? I could've sworn I started a thread for this last week but can no longer find it. I'm applying for the PMHNP speciality and although UPenn is a relatively new addition, I have fallen in love with their program. Looking forward to replies from everyone.

@maroon2019 The video interviews are new this year to every application! They implemented the videos in this cycle of apps to eliminate having to send out video interview requests and in-person interviews (although some specialties for people that applied to BSN-MSN will be asked to do the in person interview still...they said it may only be one or maybe two specialties that still do them). So to answer your question- No, there will not be another video interview... in-person only if anything ?

Has anyone heard info from past students or Penn what the financial aid awards are like? Penn is SO expensive, but my dream school.... or does anyone have info in general about what students had to say about the program and what they liked about it?

@maroon2019 I'm sure they did it so they wouldn't be as overwhelmed with all of the interviews for their other programs like the MSN, DNP, etc. Probably will be around the same time but will just be more organized and less pressure for them with less to worry about.

I kinda feel like psych would not do additional interviews considering most of the questions they are likely to ask as were already addressed in the recorded interview. But I most definitely could be wrong. We may just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

I wish I had the answer but unfortunately, I do not. I applied for psych as well so I'm especially anxious to know since they seem to be one of specialties that needs additional interviews.

ALSO has anyone else noticed the number of ridiculous, irrelevant things you are subscribed to on your email while going through this wait. I get so angry every time I've been getting an email about ridiculous things. It's led to me unsubscribing/blocking senders left and right now

I haven’t heard anything about interviews etc. yet. My application for AGACNP still shows incomplete, although the admissions folks have said they are still actively processing applications. I was told recently that it is unlikely that the AGACNP faculty will request additional interviews, not sure about the other specialties.

I am AGACNP as well as although my application is considered “complete.” I have not heard anything about interviews. I wonder why they will not hold interviews. I was hoping it would help my chances getting in.

Hey! I saw you also applied to Jeff... got into the FACT2 yesterday. Maybe we will be at the same school pursuing neonatal ? the wait for Penn is making me crazy.
