@Alfazzani, no worries, there is a mechanism for making changes such as adding a school to your FAFSA. -Go to FAFSA.gov. -Enter your Login information/create a save key -Select the option to “Make FAFSA Corrections”. -Go to the section where you’ve l...
  5. Yale GEPN 2020

Yale’s FAFSA code is 001426. If you enter the code when adding schools Yale should just pop up. Didn’t have any trouble using the code.

I don’t recall receiving any info previously about the YSN financial aid form in email correspondence. I did find the form a while back while researching YSN financial aid info on their website and submitted it with confirmation from their office...b...

I really hope that they miraculously finish their process more quickly than expected and release decisions by the 23rd or 24th at latest. It would be nice to have a full 2 weeks to arrange travel to attend the admitted students day.

More great reading...a link to a compilation of YSN GEPN clinical journals from 1999-2002. I’m sure there are even more if you search for them! https://elischolar.library.yale.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1039&context=ysn_alumninews
  9. Yale GEPN 2020

I recently stumbled across this blog by a former YSN GEPN-CNM student that is a great time capsule documenting her experience along the way. It captures not just her YSN experience but the entirety of her life during that period. Though her specialty...

Yesssss, solidarity is helpful! I’ve not experienced this kind of a suspenseful wait previously...where each single day feels like an entire week. It has helped to share that feeling with you all because no one else that I talk to can relate to this ...
  11. Direct Entry MSN 2020 at Columbia University

@MaleNP, I asked the admissions office about the work requirement a few months ago and was told that for the MDE/DNP acute care specialty program students essentially need to take a leave of absence to complete the one year work requirement after the...

@MaleNP, agreed! It has been so encouraging and helpful to experience the camaraderie in this forum, and I too am hopeful that the support will continue into GEPN year. I’m definitely planning to attend the admitted students day if accepted. Hope to...
  14. Yale GEPN 2020

That’s great news, @MaleNP and @AmyS4. It would be nice to be able to shift gears over the summer between 2nd/3rd years and spend time focusing on other areas of interest and/or garnering bedside experience.
  15. Yale GEPN 2020

@AmyS4, thanks for your reply! It makes sense that outside classes will be too difficult during the GEPN year...the fire hose of info seems like an apt description...though I’m hopeful for a bit of flexibility during the 2nd/3rd years. To be determin...
