O MY.... I AM VERY DISTURBED TO SEE HOW UNPROFESSIONAL A PHYSICIAN CAN BE TOWARDS CRNA's!!! I was browsing studentdoctor.net and came across this thread. The moderators over there didn't even say anthing regarding the language used by this physician or anything! I guess I'm just a little disappointed in the unprofessionalism on studentdoctor.net. I wonder if the moderators are jealous students or something. Check it out!!!!
I agree with the above poster. If it chaps you to see how they act just dont post. I myself frequently interject myself in posts, especially that are CRNA bashing. Hey I have the right to post on any board I want as long as i folloow the rules.
Thanks for recognizing how imature they handle a little pressure. I couldnt believe it as well. And know they are not all students, many are experienced attending MD's. Pretty funny I'd say. I guess with all the medicine and science you learn in med school what they dont learn in communication and debate.

I had to laugh it's called student doctor but Jetpilot believes it's okay for practicing physicians to be on there but not CRNA's

I do encourage everyone to not go there starting crap though, especially about the post you are looking at. Thas is old news, I as well at JPP from SDN have moved on hopefully. If they are bashing and misinforming readers on crna issues then Im all about speaking up which I do no doubt. However I never start hate threads or start talking crap that isnt egged on. Doing so would only make us look like the poo poo starters.
The board is good though. I have learned so much about political issues as well as clinical issues there. Wish we could get more interesting posts here. So tired of reading please list "Grades, GPA, GRE scores ect"
I know people just want to see how their stats compare to rank themselves but their has to be 50million crna entrance stat threads on this board.

I sincerely agree with your post. I wish we could move on to clinical scenarios instead of the usual..
that was the first time I've read anything like that. OUCH. but you know, people say things online and out of frustration that they wouldn't otherwise and I mean theres never enough room for egos..

More and more I hear that med schools are placing more emphasis on non pre med/science majors and more on liberal arts and interview skills. What good does it do to be a scholastic genius, but have no idea how to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Lord knows the competition is for med school is where the admission boards can be a little less concrete and more selective about the type of person they select.
You know, it's really funny to see the lack of objectivity here. There are threads on this board that are every bit as venomous as the couple from the SDN board that were listed at the start of this particular thread. When they get nasty, they should be closed, as that one was, and as several have been on this board. But let's not pretend that y'all are always taking the high road here and everyone at the "other board" is not. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Y'all go to an MD board and strut your stuff? Expect to get bashed. An MD (or god forbid an AA like me) comes to this board - they get bashed.
