O MY.... I AM VERY DISTURBED TO SEE HOW UNPROFESSIONAL A PHYSICIAN CAN BE TOWARDS CRNA's!!! I was browsing studentdoctor.net and came across this thread. The moderators over there didn't even say anthing regarding the language used by this physician or anything! I guess I'm just a little disappointed in the unprofessionalism on studentdoctor.net. I wonder if the moderators are jealous students or something. Check it out!!!!

No comment from me other than, if that were to happen here or anyone else I would be history. I like to be treated the way I treat others, and if I have nothing nice to say then I have no business there. I am glad we have excellent moderators here. :)

He's going to be a very poor dr with that attitude. people won't want him as a dr. People like that are a waste of good oxygen. Well, I'd like to see a Dr. do his'/her job competently (sp) without a good NURSE!!!! Goodness. :chuckle

This is something that has been going on for a long time. Physicians and CRNAs will always be at odds with each other in terms of political and professional rights and practice issues. I would suggest avoiding that website if it burns you up. You are not going to change their mind, and they are not going to change yours. Save yourself the stress.
Their are some good aspects to that website though - you can get a lot of great clinical info about interesting cases, complications, etc. That's what I use it for. Just stay out of the political crap over there....you can't win.

First, they are student doctors.....emphasis on the "student". Take what they say with a grain of salt. They will learn the value of nurses...they haven't had medicine beat the sense into them yet.
Second, that BBs moderators have different standards than ours does. Look at many of the more "social" threads on that BB... it reminds one of Junior high locker room at times.
There are good things about that BB and bad things there. Try to ignore the children and hang with the grownups.

I'm with Caroladybelle. That other BB has it's good points and it's bad points. It also tends to be more "social". Their agenda is very different than the one here. Take what they say over there with a box of salt.

My guess would also be that it would have a lot to do with both an age difference between the average poster on that BB and the average poster here, as well as a major difference between the proportion of male to female posters on each board. Young males tend to be much more immature than females on average (not that there aren't immature females as well).

studentdoctor.com is for doctors, just one reason why i won't post there. There ARE right in the aspect that it's a site for doctors, though.
I'm not buying the age difference. Age is nothing but a number.
BTW that thread was closed.
And would someone please explain to me why people go there, and then post about it here?

The same reason that people who are not CRNA's or even SRNAs or wanna bes continually post in the CRNA forum.
