Hi NP hopefuls! Starting a thread for those applying to the UVic NP Program for fall 2025. I am an RN who graduated from U of C in 2020 and have been working in cardiology in Calgary since.

Mine still says "Under review by department" as well.

Any ideas on timeline for decisions? The wait is killing me

I'm also dying with the wait. I did some research though on last years admissions decision timeline: on March 18th (it was a Monday), the first-round admitted people had an update on the portal that read "Recommended by Department" under their status. I was waitlisted (but didn't know it yet) and mine remained saying "Under review by Department" the entire Summer. I got an email a week later saying I had been waitlisted. So I expect we will hear some update next Monday the 17th if they keep to the same timeline. That's just my sleuthing though relying solely on last years data! I'm clearly dying too.

Last year when I applied, I got my rejection email on March 20th but my status on the portal had changed I think the day before that.. I don't remember exactly what it said but it did not say "recommended by department". 

I emailed UNBC and they said their decisions have been made and they're waiting for the paperwork to go through with the office of the registrar. I got accepted to TRUs Master of Nursing but NP is my first choice so really anxiously awaiting!! I have my applications in for UNBC and UVIC.

When did UNBC email you? Just trying to gauge if I should be nervous all day waiting for an email haha

Did you email UNBC or UVic? Either way keep us updated 🙂 fingers crossed for you and glad you have a back up plan. I didn't apply for MN but I wish I would have
