Hi NP hopefuls! Starting a thread for those applying to the UVic NP Program for fall 2025. I am an RN who graduated from U of C in 2020 and have been working in cardiology in Calgary since.

Does anyone know who got in after applying for the 2nd time? Does UVic strictly count GPA ?
I am a re-applicant, and from my understanding they look at your statement of improvement letter, everything you did in the last year or since your last application, to improve yourself as a candidate. They say the weight everything equally but I am sure GPA is heavily waited.
I have 12 years ER and rural nursing experience, I have done the mandatory states course with an A- and completed my remote nursing certification through UNBC with an A+ and I still didn't get in to UNBC. My undergrad GPA was weak but that was 12 years ago, I wish they considered experience instead.

Talking to my friend who got in to UVIC last year she heard officially on March 27 (via email) but her status changed to 'recommended by the department' on Mar 22! So this week/next I assume? UBC followed the timeline closely to when she heard last year as well so I take it UVIC will do the same!! anxiously waiting as well
