University of Texas at Arlington Fall 2020 Cohort

Published

Hello Everyone!!

It is finally my time to post to this forum! EXCITING!!! I did not see a thread for Fall 2020 and I might be SUUUUPER early but man that nursing application process takes proper a year doesn't it?

I am done with all my general courses and TEAS except for nursing chem, one elective (health and human disease), Patho, Pharm, and Intro to Nursing. I plan to take CHEM 1451 and HEED 4312 in the Fall 19 semester, apply in January, and then while waiting on that, take Patho and Intro to Nursing in Spring 2020 and Pharm by itself in Summer 2020.

I have an A in Micro, A&P 1, and A&P 2. This has been a LOOOONG journey and I cannot wait to start!

I did call them and they told me that I have to enroll online....and online is only the 1700 price...

Go to https://uta.myahpcare.com/enrollment

click on enrollment tab at the top of page.

Scroll down until you see online enrollment in black bold letters.

Then below online enrollment click on voluntary undergraduate enrollment. Go through the registration process and you will be given various options for medical insurance plus dental insurance or health insurance only. I choose health insurance only.

Thats the instructions that I followed when I called customer service.

when I did that it asks me how am I going to pay - cc or AHC and ready to proceed with payment but I wil call them tomorrow again.

Yup I went ahead and paid with a credit card. You are on the right track.

you are right I ve been looking fr a family rate

I was able to find plans for $0 also. I went through ehealth first and it told me I have $276 in subsides to apply towards a plan. It depends on your income. I ended up going with a $55/month plan that has a $200 individual deductible.

Hey, I have a quick question: There was an installment plan for 0$ available. I assumed that it was billed through UTA, instead of through the website. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Hey, I guessed I missed something, but how do you sign up for that orientation due next week? I know it s online but how do we take it?

It’s a course in Canvas. It would have shown up for you automatically back in March.

That thing was the "orientation" due on 30th? There is no actual orientation session where there will be a person talking live to us ( online)?? Does your show "A" like in the pic ? cuz I did all that crap and scored 100 but it doesn't show A, and Miss Ashleigh doesn't exactly respond promptly to my emails....

Yeah so orientation has two components. The first component is an online orientation through Canvas where you watch videos, take quizzes, and complete various tasks. If you have all 100's then you are good to go. The second component is an in person orientation. This year the in person orientation was canceled. Bummer I already bought flight tickets, hotel reservations, and a car rental prior to them canceling. O well, what can we do but adapt. So due to COVID19 we are doing the in person orientation online on July 22, 2020. Below is a portion of an email I received from the AOBSN:

Hello incoming JR I students,

Congratulations on your acceptance to the AO BSN Program.

The mandatory JR I Orientation will be held virtually, through Teams, on July 22ND. We will miss the in-person event but believe you can receive all the information you need to be successful in the program in the virtual environment. The day will start at 9am. An agenda will be posted prior to the orientation.
