Hello Everyone!!
It is finally my time to post to this forum! EXCITING!!! I did not see a thread for Fall 2020 and I might be SUUUUPER early but man that nursing application process takes proper a year doesn't it?
I am done with all my general courses and TEAS except for nursing chem, one elective (health and human disease), Patho, Pharm, and Intro to Nursing. I plan to take CHEM 1451 and HEED 4312 in the Fall 19 semester, apply in January, and then while waiting on that, take Patho and Intro to Nursing in Spring 2020 and Pharm by itself in Summer 2020.
I have an A in Micro, A&P 1, and A&P 2. This has been a LOOOONG journey and I cannot wait to start!

well, apparently some students went with a different school, or thought being a nurse would be a piece of cake job, do the 40, get the paycheck and live life and all of a sudden got struck with reality of pandemic....or were unsuccessful in passing Pathophysiology (patho just ended last week) or Pharmacology and now gotta wait 5 years to try again..

Brian are you talking about the cohorts that are currently doing clinicals or are you talking about our cohort? Also is anybody starting to buy medical gear for clinicals. I saw that we needed to get a nursing kit. Doesnt anybody know what that is? I just bought a stethoscope, a sphyngomanometer, pulse oxymeter, pupil dialation light, infared thermometer, and some dressing scissors, as well as a nursing bag. I went ahead and bought it now because I dont want to struggle getting this equipment later on when clinicals are about to start. Amazon has some shipping delays and some brand name medical equipment is in short supply. Also if we buy equipment does it have to be FDA certified?

I think the nursing kit is sold by the UTA bookstore

If I remember correctly I saw an email stating that the TEAS test was going to be waived for this upcoming application cycle due to the pandemic. After that the TEAS test is required. In regards to your EduKan, I would talk to an advisor to find out if they can transfer in.

As for the considerations, if one has a Bachelors & 2 Masters (earned at UTA), would it mean an additional 1.5 points?
