Hello Everyone!!
It is finally my time to post to this forum! EXCITING!!! I did not see a thread for Fall 2020 and I might be SUUUUPER early but man that nursing application process takes proper a year doesn't it?
I am done with all my general courses and TEAS except for nursing chem, one elective (health and human disease), Patho, Pharm, and Intro to Nursing. I plan to take CHEM 1451 and HEED 4312 in the Fall 19 semester, apply in January, and then while waiting on that, take Patho and Intro to Nursing in Spring 2020 and Pharm by itself in Summer 2020.
I have an A in Micro, A&P 1, and A&P 2. This has been a LOOOONG journey and I cannot wait to start!
BON runs a background with Texas DPS and FBI..if they sent you a letter that you passed you have no issues with BON. The second background through GroupOne is specifically about the school and most of all about the hospitals you l be doing the clinicals....but yeah, if she has NO criminal charges , I d definitely ask "WHY am I not getting a blue card?" But the school doesnt care why you ve gotten a letter instead of a card...

I'm going to contact the BON as a matter of principle. However, I wouldn't have received my US Citizenship, plus I have to have clear backgrounds for the State of Texas for my EMT as well as the State of Indiana.
A LEO friend just told me that if you have moved frequently in the past ten years that you may get a letter instead of the blue card. In my case, I have lived at 11 addresses in the past 10 years.

I went through this program and a lot of people from many cohorts got this letter despite not having any charges. There’s no rhyme or reason as to why it happens, but this letter means you are 100% good to go.
I m just saying what I thought is the main reason, but of course not 100% sure. Doesnt make much sense otherwise....

Thank you!

yeah thats what the advisor that handles the background checks told me. but then again its probably a TXBON issue and not a UTA issue. regardless you're good to go ?

who is the adviser who handles the background checks?
But yeah if a reason for letter is moving too often, I did move easily 8-10 times in past 10 years
