University of Texas at Arlington Fall 2020 Cohort

Published

Hello Everyone!!

It is finally my time to post to this forum! EXCITING!!! I did not see a thread for Fall 2020 and I might be SUUUUPER early but man that nursing application process takes proper a year doesn't it?

I am done with all my general courses and TEAS except for nursing chem, one elective (health and human disease), Patho, Pharm, and Intro to Nursing. I plan to take CHEM 1451 and HEED 4312 in the Fall 19 semester, apply in January, and then while waiting on that, take Patho and Intro to Nursing in Spring 2020 and Pharm by itself in Summer 2020.

I have an A in Micro, A&P 1, and A&P 2. This has been a LOOOONG journey and I cannot wait to start!

I got my acceptance on Friday but it was through email, I’m not sure if they’ll send a letter though.

Acceptance for Summer 2020 or Fall?

Summer, fall acceptances come out in less than 2 weeks.

last year acceptance letters were emailed out the Friday before spring break and I think it will be around the same time this year. calendar is on the UTA website.

I wouldn't worry too much about not getting a processing letter/email but if it is concerning then reach out to the UTA CONHI and I'm sure that they can verify.

I got my processing email a week ago regarding my fall application.

Hopefully we all get in!... how do your stats look like? and which program are y'all applying to? I am at a 7.3 applying on campus. I'm a little nervous cause I heard for on campus 7.5 is the safe range.

Gus there s ever a SAFE range...you dont know which application period there will way too many applicants and people with very high scores. and how many hospital affiliated people will there be which get advantage with a lower grade because are "partnered".....

oh I know for the ao campus its different from on campus. I don't think partnering is considered for on campus.

I never thought about that but partnering saves them some time and money I believe, because you are already considered an employee of the hospital and they dont have to go through the process again. But idk for sure. In AO is definitely a factor

guys, does anybody know how long s the BON background letter good for?

I believe its two years on the blue card.

Or this from the Texas BoN website:

A student is transferring to my program and has an outcome letter dated from two years ago. Is this still valid?

Yes. So long as no new offenses have occurred, the approval would stand, even if the letter is outdated.

I cannot confirm names (privacy), but have been told that letters will go out March 6.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

Are you an admissions advisor? I thought I saw someone in that office with the same last name, but it could have been someone else.
