Hi everyone! I haven't seen a forum for USF FALL 2021 BSN yet, so I decided to make one so everyone can ask questions, encourage one another, and share stats!
I'm applying with:
Science GPA: 4.0
Overall: 3.91
Volunteer w/ letter of confirmation: 100+ hours
I'm not sure if they look into this, but:
- Bilingual
Good luck everyone! Feel free to comment below!

Just made an account to share my stats! I applied to the Hilltop campus.
Overall GPA: 3.66
Science GPA 3.50 (My school doesn't count pluses or minuses, but I did get 2 B's and 2 A's in my prerequisites)
250+ volunteer hours in a hospital setting
Current job is tutoring kids
(Hopefully good) essay about wanting to become a nurse educator!
Did you guys notice that they are sending out decisions mid-March, or am I just crazy? I remember reading online that they come out April 1st?
I'm not sure if the Hilltop campus is different from the Sacramento campus, but I attended some of the workshops on Zoom for the Sacramento campus. The advisor said acceptances won't come out until May. But I also saw on the website that they come out on April 1st. I feel like they are going to give out acceptances in batches, just to see who's going to accept and who's going to decline. From there, they'll probably just keep trying to fill up their spots of those who have declined. I think he said May so that we don't keep our hopes up and expect anything super soon LOL

I see! I kinda thought of the middle of March because of what it says on the applicant page! I never heard of decisions coming out in May, but again, I never attended a session. Good luck to everyone though!
For fall applicants it says decisions notifications begin April 1st on the admissions page. So hopefully not too soon after that!

Yeah! I saw the mid-March thing too! I think it may apply for other majors.. not sure about nursing since they are more strict on that. (Also, I work as a tutor too! haha ?)

Nope! We only had 1 application and it was the one on the USFCA website. After you submit it and transcripts, you are good to wait! ?

Ah okay, awesome. Thank you so much for your help! ?

My AA was automatically included at the bottom of my college transcript; therefore, I didn't send in my diploma!

Oh! I didn't notice that at the bottom of my transcripts, but I do see a degree was rewarded! Thanks so much!

Thanks for posting your stats! I applied at the Hilltop campus as well. What other schools did you apply to? Also, did you send any proof for your volunteer hours & your work as a tutor? Or did you just mentioned it in your resume/application?

I did mention them in my resume. I didn't note this in my earlier comment, but I am also bilingual. So I sent documentation of my bilingual seal and my volunteer hours from my hospital. I did not send anything about my current tutoring job.
Edit cause I forgot the second question - I also applied to Dominian University of California. Only private schools for me because I have yet to take the TEAS.

Yes, I applied for FAFSA! Very last minute LOL. I applied yesterday right after I submitted my application to USF. I'm trying to figure out how to fill out and send the 2021-2022 Cal Grant GPA Verification Form. I'm not super familiar with financial aid, but I think I need to submit that to qualify for Cal Grant?
By the way, I did get the confirmation email this morning! ? Fingers crossed for all of us. I wonder how many students are applying this semester. I'm applying to the VANAP program in Sacramento.
