Hi everyone! I haven't seen a forum for USF FALL 2021 BSN yet, so I decided to make one so everyone can ask questions, encourage one another, and share stats!
I'm applying with:
Science GPA: 4.0
Overall: 3.91
Volunteer w/ letter of confirmation: 100+ hours
I'm not sure if they look into this, but:
- Bilingual
Good luck everyone! Feel free to comment below!

Science GPA: 3.52
Cumulative GPA: 3.68
Volunteer at a local hospital: Over 100+ hrs
Caregiver for a child with special needs requiring injections, feeding with Enteral pump, and participating in PT+OT+Speech Therapy: 440+ hrs
My stats aren't as competitive, but I'm still hoping for a miracle to come LOL! Good luck to everyone!
You definitely have a shot at getting in!! I am a current student at the SAC campus and got in with a 3.5 and no medical background experience. They really look at your essays! So be sure to write strong essays and don't brag about yourself but speak about how you have empathy and care for others.

Thank you, I hope so!
How is your experience with their Nursing program? I'm a current student at Sac State but got rejected for their program ? I don't know too much about USF's program in general, so I would like a little more insight from an actual student! ☺️

It is a very small program at sac, 20 students per cohort but it’s nice because it creates a family dynamic. Covid has put a damper on things making them all online for me, pretty much went through the whole nursing program online expect 1 and a half semesters. So the transition sucked a bit but I love my classmates and the family unit USF brings compared to other schools. I do hate the price of it though ?.

How much is the program with FAFSA though? I know the deposit is a whooping $750.. I was so shocked at first ?

actually my deposit was only $250. I have full financial aid through FASFA with the Cal Grant and Pell Grants and I still had to pay a fair amount each semester. Each semester goes based off how many credits your taking but the average semester was $24,000 -$26,000 and with 3 semesters each year, it totals it to be around $60,000+ for one year. and then the second year, is a little cheaper around $14,000 a semester because your only taking 9 credits if you get philosophy, theology, ethics, and literature done at a junior college or college before enrolling into your first semester at USF

Oh, that's nice! During the webinar, they said it was $750. Thank you for the info. It is alot to take out of pocket, but the profession makes it worth it.

They may have changed the amount of the deposit, but I know all my cohort only had to actually pay $250 to hold our seat. I hope it is still like that for you all! They student loans are worth it when being able to walk into the work of nursing after graduation!!
wish you the best of luck!!
Hello,
I am applying as well. I have a 3.73 Science GPA and 200+ hours of volunteer work , letters of rec and Basic Spanish recognition from Santa Clara Valley Medical Org. I want to know how everyone is adding all this to their application? The application seems pretty generic since there's no supplemental application so I cant insert any of these stats. I was under the impression that USF doesn't consider any of these extra curricular criteria because there's nowhere to insert them in the Application.
Hi! I thought there was a section in the application where you could add your resume, etc? It’s been at least a month since I submitted so I don’t exactly remember! I think you could also try to include that info in your essay too to help your cause! Are you applying to sac campus or SF? I’m applying to SF. However I also applied to another school and that’s my 1st choice, so if I get in to the other program and USF I will not be going to USF. Kinda getting ahead of myself though!

Hello! I did see that section but all of the verification documents wouldn't fit into a resume because they have signature pages and separate written documents. Does the resume need to be like a regular job resume or is it academically professional to insert documents into the resume?

You can add as many documents if you want. I added 2 documents so far.
