  1. Sacramento campus only takes a total of 2 years because we go through Summer... hilltop takes 3 years because they have summers off
  2. Of course!! I had a 3.5 and no experience, licenses and I am not bilingual. I had 1 month hospice volunteer work and I wrote pretty good essays that I was later told from my directors that is what they used to pick me
  3. When I got accepted to fall admissions to Sacramento program I heard back first Friday of April! So April 5, 2019 and I got my email around 5:30pm !! Just some context of when I found out, I know I was going crazy wondering when decisions would be made! Again this was specifically for Sacramento campus!
  4. They may have changed the amount of the deposit, but I know all my cohort only had to actually pay $250 to hold our seat. I hope it is still like that for you all! They student loans are worth it when being able to walk into the work of nursing after graduation!! wish you the best of luck!!
  5. It is a very small program at sac, 20 students per cohort but it’s nice because it creates a family dynamic. Covid has put a damper on things making them all online for me, pretty much went through the whole nursing program online expect 1 and a half semesters. So the transition sucked a bit but I love my classmates and the family unit USF brings compared to other schools. I do hate the price of it though ?.
  6. I got the same email.... and He did tell me that everyone who was awarded accepted so they won't reevaluate until october/nov
  7. I applied for the nursing hpsp BSN student scholarship for 2020-2021 year and I was told “hopefully” early this week notification will go out!
  8. I think what the person above is talking about is the maim SF campus because at sac campus they don’t offer this option but I know some people who were offered guarantee admission for Spring last year at main campus..... also Sacramento campus doesn’t have a larger Spring cohort than fall it’s always 20 people. But main campus does ..
  9. Your applications go through main campus first so that would be correct as to why he is your counselor. Only check the application status page ?
  10. Yeah surprisingly it’s only been 3 days a week for nursing classes so far. This semester we have to take a Monday night class but it is a writing class just for graduation purposes. However, if you have a previous bachelors degree you don’t have to take it.
  11. Of course! I know the feeling! honestly, I absolutely love this program! I love that it is small because your cohort feels like a little family and you become really close to your professors! I think this makes your whole experience that much better! Also, the older cohorts are very nice and helpful for any questions you may have which makes it that much better! It’s nice too school isn’t every day of the week... typically it’s Tuesday and Thursday and then a clinical day! So about 3 days a week!
  12. Hi guys good luck to you all, just wanted to share some info since I know when I applied I was going crazy trying to figure out when I would hear back! I am currently in the program and was accepted for Fall 19 semester. Decision letters went out on Friday April 12! If your accepted you will receive an email to your regular email stating that changes have been made to your portal and log in to see the changes. Once there you will see a letter of acceptance. They typically send out letters on Friday's and then once first round goes out the people have 2 weeks to accept their spots. After that a second round will go out and so on until all spots are filled. I know for certain that some of the professors read your essays themselves and a lot of the decision making goes into these essays! All in all the wait is terrible but just know if your not accepted this round don’t give up! Keep applying because it’s worth it!!
