Dominican University of California Fall 2021
I got accepted to the school but not in the Nursing program, unfortunately. ? Where else did you apply? I applied for USF but I got waitlisted. Results for those who are waitlisted will be out tomorrow.

Nope, I'm a transfer student. Still no updates on my portal and my checklist never went away, unlike others ☹️

Anyone here got accepted to their Nursing program already? I wonder why they don't release results all at once. I've seen many people got their decisions (mostly denied to the Nursing program but accepted to the school). There are still no updates for me on my portal. This is getting me anxious ?

Just checked now, mine went away too! This probably means that they're about to release the results. I'm so nervous. ?

University of San Francisco BSN Fall 2021
Late post, but I got waitlisted and will get another update on May 18. Just wondering, for those who got accepted, when is the last day you can secure your spots? Is it before May 18? I'm just curious because I don't know what their basis will be for those who are on the waitlist.

Good luck! I hope all of us here get in. I also applied to USF this sem, since most of the CSUs that I'm trying to get into are not accepting Nursing applications for next sem. I'm wondering what your stats are?

Thanks for posting your stats! I applied at the Hilltop campus as well. What other schools did you apply to? Also, did you send any proof for your volunteer hours & your work as a tutor? Or did you just mentioned it in your resume/application?

I also have another question. Did you guys submit proof of work and volunteer hours on the portal after submitting your application? I don't see anything about it on the drop-down menu under "uploads", but I'm just curious.

Dominican University of California Fall 2021
I just submitted my application yesterday. I turned in my unofficial transcript on the portal and I also requested an official transcript from my college to be mailed to them. I'm a bit anxious because they might not receive it before the March 1 deadline, but I read on their website that unofficial transcripts are okay. Do you think they would automatically deny my application if it's still "awaiting" by March 1st?

Hi everyone! I am so happy I found this forum. ? I recently submitted my application (this is my first round) and I'm so anxious about it. I'm wondering what are your guys' stats? Mine is: - 3.97 overall GPA - Working as Peer Instructional Leader (at my college) and Special Education Instructional Assist. (at an elementary school district) - Volunteer at Crisis Text Line and Homecare Facility - AS Health Science (graduating this May with 2 other AA degrees) - Trilingual (English, another language, and a dialect of that language) if that helps somehow Do you think this should be enough?

I didn't upload a letter of recommendation because the portal didn't have a portion of it. Also, I didn't put how many hours I've volunteered on my resume, I just listed them (since 1 page is max.)

Study nursing in the Philippines or in US?
If nursing is not a good pre-med choice, can you recommend me a course I could take in college that I wouldn't find hard to find a job if ever I don't pursue medicine?

Study nursing in the Philippines or in US?
I am currently a sophomore in highschool here in the US (permanent resident). Although some may say that it's too early to plan for what I wanted to be, I am firm with my decision that I wanted to be a Doctor. I really don't know what Pre-med course to take yet, but my mom said that taking Nursing would be better since I can have a fall-back if my plans of going to Med school won't push through. Just to give you a little background, I am an A student with a 4.0 GPA. I am rank 25 in our class here in CA. I wanted to attend in a UC or State Univ for college but it will be so expensive for me (I think) even with the help of a student loan since my mom is a caregiver (single mom). My mom told me that I could just study in the Philippines and go to a good school (like University of Santo Tomas, FEU) that offers a good nursing program. I am just worried that when I finish my Nursing degree in the PH and go back here in the US, I won't get a job (or settle of being just a caregiver) or even repeat EVERYTHING just for the sake of working in a hospital. I don't want that to happen. So, any suggestions? Thoughts? I am planning to go and inquire in Philippine Universities this summer so that I know what requirements do they have. I hope someone can answer my questions. Is Nursing a good pre-med choice? Would I find it a hard time applying for a nursing job here in the US when I get back? Would I find it a hard time passing the board exam here in US? (any experiences) Am I going to repeat college here if ever?
