Does anyone like their uniform? I find my uniform top to be one of the most uncomfortable and unflattering things ever made.

Seriously I look like a love seat in the thing.

LCCC's uniform is terrible! We have a button down blue oxford with our emblem on it. This shirt fits so terribly, its itchy and stiff. I look like a hunch back. Plus our pants are too short. I'm 5'9 and they dont cover my socks. our shirts dont stay tucked in, no matter how hard you try, especially if you have a rack. we also have to wear the cheapest lab coat ive ever seen. Everyone wants to change the uniform to scrubs but, apparently the "powers at be" are stuck in their ways.

Well, true to form my white uniform is already ruined...and I don't even start clinicals until September.

Someone (I suspect someone under 4ft tall) spilled something on my dresser and it leaked into my uniform bag. The turquoise pants bled onto my white top :(

$25 wasted. Any ideas on how to get it out? Bleach doesn't appear to be doing a stellar job...

Hmmmm...I am not a fan of Bleach (never use it) but Baking Soda with a good Concentrated Detergent may work...I know it helped me when I spilled coffee on my white skinny jeans this summer, can't even tell where the spill occured

Color Remover > Laundry First AidTry this, not sure it will help, but will cost you less than a new top.

I thought it was amusing that the company who came out to fit us new nursing students at a special orientation didn't bring the white tops for us to try on for size. Instead they made us try on tan/brown tops. I asked why and they said they have issues with the white tops staining easily with make-up and such...I can see my future frustrations with cleaning ahead of me before I've even started :). The pants are a wine color which I am at least thankful they are not white it would drive me nuts.

Keep some of the above mentioned color remover on hand, and DO NOT wash in hot water until stains are removed.

I have the best uniforms right now. My school uniform is cherokee in navy blue(my favorite color). My work uniforms are whatever I chose(scrubs or regular clothes :)!

We have to wear maroon Landau scrubs. Not too bad considering what we could have gotten stuck with. I would have picked a different color and brand (jealous of all the navy blue/black uniforms!) but really, it's not all that bad. We also had to get them embroidered with our school logo and student nurse.

I found a great stain remover recently called Zout. It has done the trick on oily, dried-in stains, bloodstains, and dyes from other articles of clothing. I found it in the laundry aisle at Safeway, and as I recall, it was super inexpensive!

I start clinical this September, so I haven't worn the uniform yet but I've seen them, and they're a white scrub top with the school of nursing patch on the arm, navy blue pants, and white shoes. I'm not too thrilled about the white, and I hate uniforms in general but as far as scrubs go, I think they're actually kinda nice looking. When I first started school I was scared we might have to wear colors I really hate like teal or sea foam :

I'm so sorry all of you that have to wear any white at all, much less all white. I am so clumsy my scrubs would look awful. However, I do feel more grateful for our scrubs that I originally despised. The scrubs are hunter green bottoms and khaki tops with hunter green lab coats. Uck, but it could be worse. My issue is I know that I will be losing weight once I start school so I'm going to have to change sizes soon! Yay and boo at the same time!! :)

And not to mention the NS chose elastic waist bands for the women's scrubs! How awful :-O
