im just curious as to what uni's every one went to or are still attending to. im currently half way through y 1st year at James Cook Uni in Townsville as a full time internal student
Hi AussieTina
Well what can i say?? :-) lol they are pretty good uni, the lecturers I had at the time were pretty good. I dont know what it is like now though. Overall its a good uni. I know back when i trained they made it pretty hard to finish the degree; So there has been some changes in the curriculum. It think out of 120 students that enrolled there were only 50+ of us that graduated. Sighhhh.. the joys of studying!!! i didnt think i would be studying again, buti havent done anything but study for the past 2 years, especially with this NCLEX exam and now im doing my CNOR here in the USA...so more studies!!
my oh my, well aren't i the lone ranger in the mob?! lol
back in the day ....... we trained in hospitals! lol
mind you, i've walked through a uni, so does that count??!! lol
good luck to all those studying and continued success to those already graduated. :)

Thankyou Brissy. Thats good to hear. I do worry sometimes when I hear ppl refer to other unis as "real" unis. It would be horrible to go through all of this and then not have my degree respected.
The placements are great. I learn so much more when I'm out actually in the field. I just wish we had more of them (not that I could really afford any more time off). But idealistically speaking...
I'm going out to Broken Hill area health for my next block, and cant wait.
I didnt mean to diss ol' Lissy uni. I'm sure retrospectivly I'll look back and miss it, im just frustrated atm because i seem to have to put more time into keeping up with whatever it is they decide they want today, than I do actually learning.
