Hello, all!
My name is Christina Smith! I know I started this thread a little soon, but I am sure others are just as anxious as I am about applying! I have submitted my application for the spring 2016 program I just want to post some background information about myself, and anyone who has been accepted to previous semesters can share some insight with me if the wish!
I have a 3.9 GPA. My science gpa is as follows:
A: A&P 1
A: A&P 2
B Micro (Which was taken in 5 weeks, do they view the length of the semester?!)
I have gotten As in all of my other courses, and just need algebra and chemistry (which I am taking together this fall.)
I have been a CNA for 2.5 years, and have worked as a med tech for 14 months, and have recently been employed by Carroll Hospital as a MED/SURG PCT.
I have not taken my TEAS, but have purchased a study guide and plan to STUDY STUDY STUDY!!
I was accepted into my community college's ADN program, but I want to step outside my comfort zone and head towards my dream school. I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!
I am so sorry it is taking so long. Believe me, the folks in admissions want the process to go faster themselves. They are not sitting on the decision announcements to torture you, I promise. There are so many variables which impact how fast decisions can be announced and we have no control over most of them. How many applications there are, how fast application materials are delivered and matched to a students file, how quickly the admissions committees make their decisions, how quickly applicants respond to requests for missing information, how quickly applicants confirm that their applications are incomplete because they have changed their minds about entering the program. Once the first offers go out successful applicants have two weeks to accept our offer. How long everyone in that group makes their decisions AND notifies us directly impacts when we can make offers to Wait Listed applicants. Admissions staff may get sick or quit. And don't forget that in addition to the BSN and RN to BSN programs, we are also processing all the applications for the graduate programs and there are WAY more of them than there are of you. And there are legal ramifications to everything that is done. Again, I really am sorry and can assure you that if we could make it faster we certainly would. Best of luck to you all. I hope you hear really soon.
It takes a while to change all the statuses. They may or may not get done today so don't stress that you are not getting in - it's way too early. As long as your status is not Rejected your application is still alive and will be for some time. It will also be some time before the Wait List status is posted. Hope you all get good news by the end of the day so you can celebrate this weekend!

Seems like that's what admissions is sticking to then. I actually am shifting farther towards the week of Thanksgiving for the earliest we will hear back. Pushing my estimated date helps me relax more haha.
