My name is Christina Smith! I know I started this thread a little soon, but I am sure others are just as anxious as I am about applying! I have submitted my application for the spring 2016 program I just want to post some background information about myself, and anyone who has been accepted to previous semesters can share some insight with me if the wish!
I have a 3.9 GPA. My science gpa is as follows:
A: A&P 1
A: A&P 2
B Micro (Which was taken in 5 weeks, do they view the length of the semester?!)
I have gotten As in all of my other courses, and just need algebra and chemistry (which I am taking together this fall.)
I have been a CNA for 2.5 years, and have worked as a med tech for 14 months, and have recently been employed by Carroll Hospital as a MED/SURG PCT.
I have not taken my TEAS, but have purchased a study guide and plan to STUDY STUDY STUDY!!
I was accepted into my community college's ADN program, but I want to step outside my comfort zone and head towards my dream school. I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!
I am nervous with my provisional admit. This evening we will have our second to the last exam in chemistry. 1 more exam and a final to go and that's it. I talked to the prof and it does not look bad. However she did tell me that this exam is crucial. The drop deadline is next week.
I am wondering, the letter asked me if I want to enroll in Spring or Fall. What if I just check the fall box? hmm I am losing hope.. I really need to study now.
It'd be nice if umson could give us a date when decisions would start to be sent out and a date where all decisions would be made...just to give us an idea..because right now, we literally have no idea!
I've just decided to stop caring lol. I check this page all the time because I like chatting with you guys, but I haven't checked surfs in a few days. I had a dream last night that I didn't get in lol.
Admissions did say mid-late November... But I know someone previously posted admissions said before Thanksgiving so my best guess is we should really hear back next week (according to the optimist in me). The realist in me, however, says the week of Thanksgiving or the week after
That's funny, because I haven't been checking SURFS either. I agree...I am saying next week will be the EARLIEST, and that the week of Thanksgiving will probably be the week...Honestly, if we don't hear until after Thanksgiving, that is kind of cruel. Nursing school is not cheap and we need to schedule Doctor appointments!
I just stalked some girl I previously went to school with for you guys lol to see what day she "officially" got accepted and it was November 6th last year, maybe it's taking longer cause they are accepting more students?
Even if we do hear by then, don't you need the paper or whatever that I guess we will get at orientation for the doctor to fill out? I know that's what it said in the email from my backup school, so I assume it is the same?
