REMINDER!!! The deadline to submit your Fall application is nearing. As of now, the deadline has not changed from February 2 (short of 4 weeks away).
This is my second time applying--I was wait listed for the Spring term. Currently, I am studying to take my TEAS exam again on January 27th. This exam was the only portion of my application I was not confident in. I scored a 70% without refreshing my memory on key concepts by studying before hand. I did find the test to be a "you either no it or you don't" kind of thing so from personal experience--STUDY!
I have no outstanding prerequisites and my sciences are as follows:
AP1. -- B
AP2. -- A
CHEM -- B
MICRO -- A
I had the privilege of chatting with the last group of students and found this forum to be quite helpful! Please use this post as a way of communicating, sharing experiences, and giving advice. Hopefully, we will be classmates in the Fall!:)
BSN hopefuls- If you have already been accepted somewhere, ask yourself this. Are you willing to pass up a sure bet, in favor of a maybe? How badly do you want to be in nursing school in the fall? I say, pay your deposit! That one is a sure bet. I got accepted to Towson (for spring 2015) and I paid the deposit for nursing school. I was holding out on the deposit to the university, and got "The Call" from UMSON *right* before the second Towson deposit was due. Sure, it stinks to have lost a few hundred dollars, but at least I KNEW I would be going to nursing school. I definitely recommend just paying it, and shrugging off your losses if you do get into UMSON. If you don't pay your deposit, and you don't get into UMSON, then you won't be going to nursing school anywhere. And if you do get into UMSON, then you get to pick from two (or more) schools.

Couldn't agree more wit this post! I got into Saint Louis University's CNL Program and you can bet your bottom dollar that I paid the deposit to reserve my spot. Although I'm praying hard that I get accepted into UMSON, there's no way there's no way I'm going to let another school year outside of nursing school pass me by!
Hey guys. I applied for the BSN program at Shady Grove.Just checked my status and it was updated to Provisional Admit.
Good luck to everyone else waiting!
Congrats to you and everyone who got an acceptance!
Since my stuff was completed so late I don't anticipate a decision till end of April. And yea, I've been planning to pay the deposit to the other school I got into if I don't hear from UMSON by Apr 30. That one is due online so I don't have to rush to mail it several days ahead of time.

I would much rather endure occassional anxiety if that means my application will manually be reviewed opposed to being "just another number" in some school's computer system
