UMSON Fall 2015

Published

REMINDER!!! The deadline to submit your Fall application is nearing. As of now, the deadline has not changed from February 2 (short of 4 weeks away).

This is my second time applying--I was wait listed for the Spring term. Currently, I am studying to take my TEAS exam again on January 27th. This exam was the only portion of my application I was not confident in. I scored a 70% without refreshing my memory on key concepts by studying before hand. I did find the test to be a "you either no it or you don't" kind of thing so from personal experience--STUDY!

I have no outstanding prerequisites and my sciences are as follows:

AP1. -- B

AP2. -- A

CHEM -- B

MICRO -- A

I had the privilege of chatting with the last group of students and found this forum to be quite helpful! Please use this post as a way of communicating, sharing experiences, and giving advice. Hopefully, we will be classmates in the Fall!:)

I was told late April to early May but I am hoping they let us know in April. I am just going to wait as long as I can before paying my enrollment fee. Just have to wait now. Almost forgot to add I believe this is for everyone.

Just had my interview for PNP program! Eek! Think it went well, anyone else have their interview yet?

Anyone hear about the CNL program?? No news yet.

@Tjones123 - I interview Monday for AGACNP on Monday. What sort of questions did they ask you?

I have an interview scheduled for Thursday afternoon for the AGNP program. I have a friend who interviewed last week for FNP and she said the interview was really relaxed. In a sense, they just wanted to get to know you better. She said she wish she had been more relaxed. So my advice to all you guys, is breathe, relax, and as corny as this may sound BE YOURSELF!!! I'm so pumped up for Thursday.

@tehjulz how was your writing assignment?

I don't think it will be late April/May. I know the past few spring notifications have been in early April towed the end of the first/beginning of the second week. I hope we hear soon!

Writing assignment wasn't bad at all so don't stress about it. As for the interview, it was just a get to know you better and get your sense of understanding of the program. I was a little tense and that probably showed for the first few questions but once I was comfortable it went well. Stay calm. It isn't too bad, everyone's friendly!

OMG NOOO!!! We've been desperately waiting since February 2nd. I think they should let us know by April. Good luck everyone who has received an interview for the dnp programs. :D And for us traditional BSN students KEEP CALM and BE PATIENT. Sike, I wanna know now. :D

I'm aware that most of you are either DNP or BSN applicants, but I was hoping someone has heard about interviews for the CNL program?

My application still says Complete Ready for Review. I placed a call last Thursday, but the lady in charge wasn't there.

Website clearly states all CNL applicants that met minimum standards will be asked to interview. I at least thought I had that.

Was your interview in person? Or over the phone?
