Who is applying?
Thank you Em843. I really hope you hear good news soon!!
Yes, I applied to Montgomery College as well, but unfortunately for that I don't hear back until like end of May or early June...It is my first time applying there as well, so at this point, I honestly don't know anything about their admission process. I'm in a situation where I just sent my application through mail, and am just hoping now that I get in. Well, I'm sure you will be hearing soon. Best of luck!!!!
Once the first wave of offers go out, accepted students have two weeks to declare whether they are accepting the offer or not. For every one who rejects our offer, someone on the Wait List will receive an offer. Also, someone on the Wait List can elect to withdraw their application. More transcripts will come in. In short, there cannot be an ordered Wait List because the candidates are always changing in both numbers and revised qualifications. All Wait List candidates are reviewed again to decide which ones will receive an offer. Then they have two weeks to decide and we keep going until the classes are filled. In addition, accepted students will, for one reason or another, decide not to come after all. At that point we go back to the Wait List again. So it is not that the admissions office will not tell you where you are on the list - it's that they are simply unable to. We cannot predict how many will be taken from the Wait List but it is usually 10 to 20 at Shady Grove and twice that in Baltimore. So, if any of you out there get an offer you are not going to accept - please turn it down asap so we can offer your seat to someone who is desperately waiting for it.

I'm sorry, Husky. Did you apply anywhere else? I'm feeling so anxious waiting for this decision. I just want to know either way!
