Who is applying?
Gaaaahhhhhhhblarhgabhagabdlaka ahh...... This waiting is TORTURE! MONDAY! MONDAY! MONDAY! Have any CNLs heard back yet? My stats were 3.31 ug (science major) higher prereq gpa, 90 on the TEAS, decent amount of volunteer exp in the ED and in training to become an EMT through a VFD. Thought I wrote a pretty decent essay too... But...
Hey everyone, I have been reading this thread and others for months. I am one of the rare male applicants for the fall 2014 UMSON Baltimore campus traditional BSN program. And I have been having the exact same anxieties as all of you. My status still reads the committee ready as well. So yesterday I decided to get all of this off my mind and went for a long ride on my motorcycle (yes I ride even though I know the danger, everyone seems surprised by this since I want to be a nurse). So I decided to ride up and visit Gettysburg and checkout the battlefield. It was a really fun day until I was on ny way home and crashed at around 40mph. The bike is in really bad shape. I live by the motto of ATGATT which means All The Gear, All The Time. So I came out relatively well. Minor road rash on one knee where my denim tore, and one hand and foot has bad bruising so is extremely sore. Anyways I decided to share this with everyone here not because I want pity but to remind everyone that life goes on, and even though this is a tough weekend for most of us, we will all be ok in the end.
So I hope everyone on here gets great news on Monday and our weekend of worry was all for naught, but even if you don't hear good news. Life moves on.
I hope you all have a great Sunday, try and enjoy the beautiful weather (though try not to crash, lol).

Side note, UM Baltimore officially stated that they are not terrapins. It was in a FAQ about the rebranding of the school. The have a logo and a motto and other stuff but they have no mascot at all.
Motoapplicant I think you win for most stressful application cycle weekend!
Ive crashed a few mopeds... and if you ride a moped you live by the tethgobyoam motto (to embarrassed to have gear on because your on a moped, and have gotten some sweet injuries. Glad you're safe and crashed at a relatively low speed.
Im also a bmore applicant, and there is no mascot. There is only pain and suffering (and an awesome gym facility) at umb
Grey lady,I hope you see this you have been so helpful to me! I was wait listed for the Baltimore campus, how many students get wait listed? Do you know if they put the people in a certain order?
I think last semester she said Shady Grove takes around 10-20 on the wait list. They usually accept I believe 45-55 students. - Under the assumption Baltimore takes almost double the amount of students SG does, I'd assume 1.5x to 2x the amount of wait listed students.
Being on the wait list last year, if there was an order, we didn't find out about it. The office wouldn't tell us where we are on the wait list, I suppose because they don't know how many people are going to give up their seats. That being said wait list only moves up or down the list if someone gives up their seat. I was wait-listed last semester and did not get in. That is not to say anyone didn't get off the wait list, there were about 4 students or so on the board that did get offered a seat!

I'm in love with this group, everyone is so supportive. For those that applied to shady grove, from what I read in the previous forums shady grove students get called after baltimore. There's someone on here that goes by the name grey lady; she works at the admission office and she said "YAY! I've been given the permission to call shady grove students" but her comment came after Baltimore students had heard decisions this made me believe they call shady grove students later. But our year has been different so who knows. Goodluck to everyone.
