UK Nurse Registration Full Application and Assessment stage before OSCE

Published

Hi People

I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.

I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.

I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!

I passed the OSCE.......... It was so nerve wracking waiting the results!!!!

hi wow ! that was really a good news, i just wanted to ask, r u already working there before that osce?

Hi KIZMWAH

I am glad that you made it. Did you have to sit for a partial resit or full. Did they tell you the reason behind your failure or the part you have to concentrate on.

I am so nervous i am taking the exam on 23rd. I think I still have a lot more to read and I cant imagine a christmas with a bad news

Hi sherry! Got my results after two days. I've heard it's taking longer this time.. Within 5 days. As soon as you get results and pass and paid registration you can get your pin on the same day. :)

Thanks @jm014 for answering their questions.. I hope everyone will make it! Have a merry christmas!

i did full! Ouch! And yes, they will inform you why you failed.. Not in full detail though, to protect the integrity of the exam.

Thank you Kizmwah

I will be taking it tomorrow. Is there anybody coming tomorrow

Hi sherry000

Very good luck and God bless on your osce tomorrow.

Do share with us how you get on.

Hi guys!

I'm a newbie in this thread. Haha. I'm so elated right now. Just received my decision letter and it only took them (NMC) 18 days to assess my documents. Proly one of the best Christmas presents ever!

I was so nervous back then because they asked me to re-submit 2 documents and O was worried that I'll be back at the bottom of the queue but I didn't see that one coming. So, to those who are still waiting for their DL to arrive, just don't lose hope and be patient. :))

Hi alexmab

Congratulations on your DL. 18 days after resubmission. ? I resubmitted police clearances both for the UK and the Philippines last Dec. 9 so hopefully it won't be too long also. I was on the queue since September 3Rd , but due to this further documents they need I'm still waiting. Tbh I'm losing my focus on doing this but thank you for sharing it lifts my spirit up a bit.

In God's perfect time! !!

Are you a Filipino. ? Here in the UK already. ?

@Melcahussey

Yes, I am a Filipino and I'm still here in Phils. Well, I was put on queue last November 27. I received an email from NMC December 14 asking me to resubmit/reupload my police clearance and birth certificate. I re-uploaded those documents immediately and submitted it on the same day. Then just yesterday, I got an email from them saying I can now move on to the 2nd part of the test of competence (OSCE).

I kept on sending them emails regarding my status. That's what I did. Just be patient. I think another one in this forum got her/his DL after 18 days as well..

Congrats to everyone who has been progressing- especially passing OSCE's! Looks like NMC are finally getting their act together with processing everything well. I'm beginning to re-consider (been in the application process on and off since 2012) CBT and OSCE- but terrified re the OSCE because they might ask me to do some procedure I haven't done since being a student (I'm a surgical/recovery/anaesthetics nurse- have been for around 5 years- and haven't done medical/wards since being a uni student). Any advice? The cost doesn't help either!

hi, what email address did you use to follow up your application?
