Hello!
It's only May but I am already working on getting my ducks in a row for the Post-bacc application. I thought it would be nice to start a thread so applicants can support each other through the process! I know I have a million questions already and I am trying hard not to pester admissions.
I am so excited to be almost done with my prerequisites and I am looking forward to finally applying this Fall!
I would love to hear about everyone's background, projects, questions, and hopefully we can help each other out.
Good luck to all! We got this!

Do professors usually give you a second chance on making up a grade? Do professors give any extra help for these difficult classes? Also, can you tell me what’s a class schedule like for the week?
thank you and sorry for all the questions
Don't apologize for asking anything, you should be well-prepared for this program if you're admitted! Trust me, you'll wish you asked much more in the future. Patho grades were a combination of exams, homework assignments, and quizzes. Same with pharm but they added in case studies as well. Exams make up the majority of your grade in almost every class, especially the harder ones. Unfortunately, professors seldom offer extra credit (if they do, DO IT! Wether you need it or not at that moment, DO IT). They also don't show any pity. I know a girl who unfortunately lost a member of her immediate family during semester two. She somehow managed to attend the final SOC exam but did poorly and her passing grade was 1.2 points below the requirement. They didn't budge, even with her situation, and she had to repeat the course.
I answered a question about course schedules somewhere around page 18 or 19, but the summers are usually busier than the fall and spring because there's only 12 weeks instead of 16. You'll probably have an activity planned for every weekday during summer. We had one lecture day and two clinical days in fall and spring, with a fourth day reserved for exams and/or meetings. I think they try to give us at least one day off a week but sometimes they just can't because there are so many other nursing students. I'm not sure if they've changed the schedule since the new curriculum rolled out, but I'm sure that it's still manageable! Many people in our cohort have jobs but a few chose to quit after summer. It depends on who you are and how you handle stress and study.
Hey all! I know someone mentioned somewhere about starting a Facebook group once you find out who is admitted...
I just wanted to give you a heads up that for those of you who get admitted to Jacksonville that you will already have a Facebook page made for you by us mentors. So for those of you who get admitted to the Jacksonville campus, you will receive the link to that page via an email within the few weeks following decisions/acceptation of your offer.
Also I would HIGHLY recommend if you do not have Facebook to make one! Emails tend to get overwhelming, lost or not even sent sometimes in Jacksonville, so having a Facebook helps you stay up to speed on info/ ask questions to your fellow cohort (plus is a great way to connect prior to orientation!) ?
I know decisions may be coming out this week, so I wish each of you the best of luck!
Go gators!

I have an interview at JU the same day too! Such a big day - wishing us both the best of luck.
