There are services to which we should technically have access that only exist in Gainesville (student services, gym, bus services... I mean we are technically paying for all of that). And the amenities/CSESaR lab here on campus are dated and probably not as top-of-the-line as the ones in Gainesville.
However, I cannot say that any of it has had an impact on my schooling. I seriously love the program. I'm sure other students feel differently about this, this is pretty subjective.
We have a small cohort, which I really like. Our professors are awesome, I sincerely love all of them (which, of course, is super personal and will vary greatly person to person), and I feel like our smaller cohort (39 people in our class vs twice as many in GVL) really helps with the personalized quality of the teaching.
edited to add: We do have access to free mental health services for UF student and UF staff right there on campus.
