UCSF New RN Grad Training Program 2014

Hello, everyone! UCSF opened a couple of new RN Training Program for January 2014. Just wanted to start a thread. Did anyone else thought the application was abnormally short? I only attached a resume. Did you attach anything else? Good luck!

Oh no! Why didnt I find this thread earlier?! I didn't kno uc was hiring. Anyone know if they will be having a spring program or summer or even fall program next year?? I'm interested in l&d

The first group was about 25 mins and the second just with the manager was about 15 I would say. What about you?

What kinds of questions were you asked? Any advice would be truly appreciated!

I asked HR last week if they forwarded any of my applications to any managers and they responded yesterday that it's been forwarded to adult hem/onc/BMT. Anyone else get forwarded for that unit? Or started to interview for it? Wonder if I'll get selected to interview :)

I had my interview yesterday, it was 2 hours long, a little intense, but they let me tour the unit, which was awesome. I didn't think anything was too out there. for everyone applying just make sure you've done your homework and have good answers to basic interview questions.

I never called HR because I read that although some people were informed that their applications were forwarded to units, some were not. I did email though and I was told that they are now expecting their managers to contact those selected for an interview by December 20th. Congrats and good luck to those who have been selected for interviews already!

If anyone who applied for the med/surg positions have been contacted for an interview already, please post!! I just want to gauge if I should hold on or let go of the hope for an interview. LOL.

Did you get a call to interview?

Not yet. I'm sure the managers are reading a ton of applications and will select a few to interview from the batch they receive from HR.

I applied to 5 adult positions. Are they starting to interview on the adult side?

I just got a call to interview at UCSF for the float pool. The manager said they were scheduling 30 interviews over the next week.
