I am a telemetry nurse trying to transfer to mother baby at the hospital I work at now. They are doing panel interviews in 2 weeks n the ones on the panel is the manager, charge nurse, midwife and pediatrician. I have no prior experience in mother baby and am very nervous about the interview. Any tips?? Any situational type questions I shoud prepare for? I really want to transfer n think this is my one and only shot to get in.

Oh no! Why didnt I find this thread earlier?! I didn't kno uc was hiring. Anyone know if they will be having a spring program or summer or even fall program next year?? I'm interested in l&d

Thanks everyone. I am very unhappy in telemetry now. I've been calling in and requesting off too many times recently. I know it's bad but it's too stressful for me. I also just had a baby so my priorities have shifted and I'm desperate for change. Thankfully my supervisor put in a good word for me so the manager in mother baby is considering me...she doesn't know what her budget is tho to train me that's the only thing. She told me I needed my NRP and I got that right away. Still waiting she said she has been busy but has not forgotten bout me. There is another hospital that just opened up a training program for l n d n I hope they will give me a chance. I agree tho, a lot of times these days they would rather train a new grad...meaning if stuck where u are! Ugh!

I have 5 years tele experience. I want to work in mother baby unit and my hospital Is currently hiring. What do u think my chances are of being considered with no experience.
