UCSD October 2010 New Grad Program

I have applied to UCSD's Oct 2010 New Grad Program, and wanted to start a thread pertaining to such. I applied 2 weeks ago, and today received an email that my resume has been forwarded to a hiring manager. I was wondering what progress others have made, and if anyone can share their current or previous experiences with their hiring process. Thanks! :)

Im totally over being nervous for jobs... after applying for well over a 100 nursing jobs, i don't think i can get nervous... and I am ACLS, PALS, BLS certified with a 3.4 gpa in nursing school

I was informed earlier this week that I wasn't chosen for an interview. Very disappointing.

@Shuanamarslan: I completely understand. It's hard to maintain hope when it seems like you have done everything you should and still can't get anywhere. I graduated near the top of my class, getting my BSN with honors at a top ten university in May. I haven't been able to get even one interview in all this time. It is really difficult, but we just have to keep working at it, and know that something will work out in the end. I just can't wait to get out there and start working already!

I am a new grad too and just received the questionnaire email which I responded to immediately. Hoping my resume is forwarded to a nurse manager...a little prayer said.

Anyone hear from PCU at UCSD? Just wondering if they started sending out e mails yet or not. Sorry Paulie07. This is a rough time for all of us..:( Hopefully January will have more opportunities county wide.

I applied and also received the email questionnaire. I sent it back within hours but have not heard back. My email said it would take 3-4 weeks after filing deadline to hear anything-that begins next week.

I received an email today saying that my application was transferred to the Med/Surg float pool department at Thornton. Is there anyone else being considered for this position and waiting on a interview?

I also recieved an email earlier this afternoon that my resume/application was being forwarded to the med-surg float pool at Thornton. I hope this time I am lucky. I had an interview for July's program but had no luck. I was up against candidates with impressive backgrounds. One candidate was a publisher and the other had five yrs of clinical research experience. But the fight must go on...have to hold my head up high n try again :)

I just received a phone call that I was selected for an interview with the Med/Surg float pool department at Thornton. Now its time to go get my interview questions together again. I am claiming that this is my breakthrough and that the job hunt struggle is over.
