Hi,
I just wanted to start a thread for people applying to UCLA's new grad program this year. I have filled out the application online, but wondered if I should send a hard copy too. Does anyone else have any information? I heard that for the last new grad class, they had more than 800 applicants for 80 slots. Kind of discouraging...
Yay for all those who've gotten calls! and for those who haven't be patient they will come. I just got a call Thursday afternoon and set my interview for next wednesday morning. I received the e-mails too. For those who've already experienced the interview, what was it like? Was it like a regular interview with a nurse manager would be? I'm just confused and nervous, never heard of talent plus before.
Hey everyone-
Just out of curiosity - has everyone passed the nclex already? I'm actually graduating in December, and I know with all the paperwork etc. i will likely not be able to take the NCLEX until February. Just wondering if anyone knew if it was mandatory to have your RN license prior to starting the program. Thanks!
Yea I wasn't sure how many to give them in regards to references...so I just gave them 5 haha...better safe than sorry. BTW does anyone know how much UCLA considers Talenplus interview in regards to your other qualifications...I had mine last week and I thought I did well..but you never know:((....GOod luck everyone!
Hi I was confused on how many to put too. First email said 5, then on the actual link, after I inputted 3, it said I had 0 required to input. Very weird. I only added 4. 2 recent clinical instructors and 2 managers. I have not received a call though to schedule for an interview.
Thanks tomatohead!
FYI regarding the references - I emailed Sheri to clarify the discrepancy and she said "follow the instructions given by SkillSurvey" ... which are:
"In order to continue your application you need to identify at least 3 references - people with whom you have worked and who can fill out a brief survey about your job skills. At least 2 of your references must be, or have been, your direct managers."
I have not been contacted by them yet either. I'm pretty sure is the fact that my program was Associate degree. If I would've known things were going to be this bad for ADNs, I would've gone to a BSN program. I have a 3.9 GPA, graduated with honors, years as an LVN, excellent letters of recommendation from clinical instructors and my current manager. So frustrated.

Hi Boston, I graduated from the 3 year Accelerated BSN program at massachusetts college of pharmacy and health sciences. I was working as a clinical care technician at Tufts Medical Center but can no longer work there since I graduated and have the RN license. How about you?
