Hi,
I just wanted to start a thread for people applying to UCLA's new grad program this year. I have filled out the application online, but wondered if I should send a hard copy too. Does anyone else have any information? I heard that for the last new grad class, they had more than 800 applicants for 80 slots. Kind of discouraging...
Hi everyone - Im just inquiring of you who have been contacted for the New Grad program. Are you all from California with BSN's? My friend and I both applied, we are second Bachelor's/BSN but we are in Boston. I heard they contact local applicants first. Just trying to get an idea of the process here :) Thanks for keeping everyone updated on your progress.
Hey Boston2743,
I'm getting my BSN at NYC-- but got my first degree in LA (although I'm not from California originally). So, I'm not exactly sure if it is something they are taking into consideration. But I got the confirmation email from UCLA exactly a week ago today saying to expect a phone call from TalentPlus - but still have not heard anything. I called UCLA 2 days ago and they said they are still in the process of gathering all of the information for talentplus so it'll take a couple of more days for us to hear from them... but considering the fact that they have hundreds of applications to review, it makes sense and I don't think all hope is lost. but it IS very nerve-wracking!
BTW - for people still waiting, what does it say under "status" for your online application?
I'm getting my BSN in UT and got the email last Thursday but no phone call yet either. My app status says "application received/assessment completed" so i'm guessing the status isn't all that accurate......Since I'm from out of state and still got the email, I think they aren't putting location into consideration much.
Just to keep everyone posted- I just got the email from skillsurvey for my references today- which is exactly a week ago from when I got the initial email. So, I guess there is progress - but very slowlyyy at that (no phone call yet).
To everyone else waiting - be patient as I'm sure you'll hear from them soon! It appears they are doing this in batches (e.g. a couple ppl got emails on Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday...etc). I'm sure they've been busy with the many applications they received. If any UCLA residency grads can give us some insight on this and the whole process - that would be greatly appreciated!
Good luck to everyone and please keep everyone posted on any progress.
