I am posting this forum as a place to discuss the UCLA Winter 2019-2020 RN residency application! As a quick update, the application just opened today Oct 11th and will remain open until Oct 20th.
Good Luck ?

Oh my gosh congrats on getting that second interview!!! That’s so exciting and I’m so happy for you!
I believe that date was given in the packet that we received at the interview.

Also, does anyone know how the 2nd round of interview goes? I had my first interview last week for MICU and got an email today to schedule for interview #2. I’m just curious as to what the 2nd interview is like.
Thanks in advance!
Hi there, I'm trying to connect with other 4ICU MICU new hires! I was wondering if you received an offer also from 4ICU?

When they send out interview invites, they state it in the e-mail that they will only do video interviews for special circumstances. They are pretty strict with their requirements because they receive a lot of applicants from all over the country, including out of the country.
As far as having things completed for the position, the major thing would be your license, a BSN or MSN, and an up-to-date BLS. Any other requirements will probably be completed during the on-boarding period if you are offered a position.
Thank you so much! Do you know when the onboarding period would be? Is it in March? I'm just wondering because if I was given an offer I won't be moving back to California until late January and just want to be prepared if there are onboarding things I have to do before my start date in March.
Hi! I’m not sure if anyone still checks this thread, but I am applying to the Summer residency program and have some questions. I graduate in MAy from UAMS in Arkansas and I am concerned as to what my chances are. I was wondering if other external applicants could share their background and school performance/extracurriculars so I could see if I am a good fit. I want to be a pediatric nurse and I want to do BSN research. From what I know about UCLA I feel that they would encourage me to continue to do BSN level research. Also, I am wondering what other people from out of state did if they were not offered the job. Did most of you accept jobs in other states or wait to reapply?

It can vary some times. February could be the earliest and April the latest. When interviewing, the handout they gave us stated February/March, but the start dates given out for this cohort were March/April.

The only place I have seen it is in those papers they give us during our interview day. I was also looking for it today online but I couldn’t find it
