CHLA Versant RN Residency September 2020 Cohort
I graduate in May and was told I can not register for the test until after my school clears me. At this point I am worried there will not be any space at the testing centers to take it in June. Additionally my school does not do practicum placement, but my ICU clinical rotations have been canceled. I’m worried about being prepared for nursing. I applied to the NICU, so adult ICU may not translate completely, but it is hand on experience that I know for sure I do not have enough of. I turned down a job already because I really want CHLA, but now I am getting really nervous.

CHLA Versant RN Residency September 2020 Cohort
I kind of forgot to introduce myself. I am applying from out of state to the NICU. I am beyond excited. During the video interview I got pretty nervous and ended saying I would bake cookies to make friends on the unit. Not sure if that will go over well. Hopefully we get the jobs we want and things get under control soon with covid-19. Best of luck to everyone!

Dell Children's Nurse Residency July 2020
My applications still say under review. I didn’t even know about the open house. I am originally from Austin, but go to school out of state. I wish I had known, now I feel like I don’t have a chance. They have not even asked for letters of recommendation yet. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I’m guessing I just wait with fingers crossed. Congratulations and good luck everyone!

UCLA New Graduate Residency Winter 2019-2020
Hi! I’m not sure if anyone still checks this thread, but I am applying to the Summer residency program and have some questions. I graduate in MAy from UAMS in Arkansas and I am concerned as to what my chances are. I was wondering if other external applicants could share their background and school performance/extracurriculars so I could see if I am a good fit. I want to be a pediatric nurse and I want to do BSN research. From what I know about UCLA I feel that they would encourage me to continue to do BSN level research. Also, I am wondering what other people from out of state did if they were not offered the job. Did most of you accept jobs in other states or wait to reapply?
