UCLA New Graduate Residency Winter 2019-2020

I am posting this forum as a place to discuss the UCLA Winter 2019-2020 RN residency application! As a quick update, the application just opened today Oct 11th and will remain open until Oct 20th.

My start date was for 4/13 and I just received a call letting me know that it got pushed back to 6/22. I wish we could get started on our original start dates and help out during this time, but I understand why that might not be possible. Keep your spirits up, everyone! Hope you’re all finding ways to stay healthy and happy (and indoors if possible)!

Ya I received a call today that it is being pushed back to June. But the call was from Arizona so I'm a little confused by that.

So sorry to hear that. May I ask Which unit ? I’m 5E/7E... if it gets pushed until June... I dont know if I will be able to wait. ?

I just got a call saying we’re pushed back to June 8th. ? They said the entire program is pushed back. Not sure why they said June 22nd to someone else. They said with what’s going on, there aren’t enough preceptors. Updated offer letters with new start date to be sent out this week.

I think different units had different start dates to begin with, so our new dates reflect that as well!

Oh that makes sense! I thought everyone but Peds was starting April 6th! This delay makes me so sad ?
