I am posting this forum as a place to discuss the UCLA Winter 2019-2020 RN residency application! As a quick update, the application just opened today Oct 11th and will remain open until Oct 20th.

For those of you wondering about the timeline, they gave us the dates of the new grad recruitment process at the interview!

Dec 2-Dec 13: all interviews are being held

Dec 14-Jan 31: review candidates and select finalists

Jan 31st: all offers made

I asked about offers and the lady at the front dest told me that units may make offers before Jan 31st. That’s just the deadline! To her knowledge, units only interview once, most candidates have already been called but “in review” wont change until after Jan 31st.

There were 8 slots available, but only 6 out of the 8 were taken!

Thank you for the info! Do you know what she meant by units only interview once? Does that mean chosen candidates interview only one time? Or the units will not be doing any interviews after December 13?

I could be wrong because I didn’t ask for clarification but I’m guessing she meant candidates only interview once before getting a job offer/no offer. So there will be no invitations for a second interview basically. That’s what I understood from that but I could be wrong!

Sad ? it looks like those are the only floors hiring this time. No one has mentioned about other medsurg floors anywhere.

A friend of mine interviewed on 8N, which is a Med-Surg floor. It's a Liver Transplant Unit. However, I have seen anyone else in our chat or on FB mention they interviewed for the unit ??‍♀️
