I am posting this forum as a place to discuss the UCLA Winter 2019-2020 RN residency application! As a quick update, the application just opened today Oct 11th and will remain open until Oct 20th.

Hello all,

Just wanted to add my update. I interviewed for SAMO 4MN and was informed this unit does second round interviews. Although most units do only one round, it is up to the UD if they do a second round. Most second round interviews are a panel interview with unit staff (that’s what 4MN does) . Good luck to all who have interviewed ?

I interviewed with 8ICU on Dec 3rd. I haven't received anything from them since. They told me we will hear back after the holidays. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Hello all,

Just wanted to add an unfortunate update. Yesterday I received my auto rejection letter from UCLA Samo 4MN. This likely means that second round emails for this floor were sent yesterday. For all curious my application status changed to "closed" as soon as I got the rejection. :( Good luck to all who are still in the running.

That’s okay! You’ll get another new grad position that fits you! If you don’t mind me asking, did u interview for this unit or it was in review and now it’s saying closed?

I interviewed for this unit & a few days later my status changed to “closed”

Hi everyone! I’ve been following this thread for some time. I was wondering if someone can send me the link to FB group page? I can’t seem to find it on FB.

Also, does anyone know how the 2nd round of interview goes? I had my first interview last week for MICU and got an email today to schedule for interview #2. I’m just curious as to what the 2nd interview is like.

Just curious. Was your first interview with the unit director only or was it a panel interview?

I didn’t. I don’t recall them talking about a second round of interviews, unless I just did poorly with my interview. ? I have yet to receive any rejection email from them and my application still says “in review.” Let’s hope to hear some good news from them soon.

I didn't either ? So hopefully we are in the good haha. I didn't ask if they were doing 2nd interviews and not sure of how many positions they have open.

Lovely human beings who interviewed with 8ICU— did any of you happen to ask how many the unit is hiring and when we can expect to hear back??
