I am posting this forum as a place to discuss the UCLA Winter 2019-2020 RN residency application! As a quick update, the application just opened today Oct 11th and will remain open until Oct 20th.

It was quick! Mine lasted maybe 15-20 minutes. One interviewer and she probably asked 7 or 8 questions. Some behavioral questions but mostly pretty general questions like why you want to work in peds. Nothing too surprising. Good luck! ?

Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing ? Sending you all the good luck too! I’ll try to find out more about a peds-specific timeline for second interviews/offers/etc and will post an update here.

I didn’t realize they were interviewing so many people! How many slots were open for you? For mine it was like 8 I believe

I have no clue. They just called me and gave me the time. Are you also interviewing for 4NW. This is actually my second interview. I didn’t get into the first unit I interviewed with 2 weeks ago.

That's interesting so you are interviewing with a different unit?? I wonder what that means ?

They called and told me that they have filled the spots for 5E/7E and could not give me a spot for the unit but recommended me to 4NW. I’m unsure as to how often this happens but I’m grateful that they recommended me to another unit.

Wow that's amazing! I hope all goes well with your interview!!!! I'm scared now because I haven't received anything ?

I was asked more clinical and behavioral questions with my interview today. Also, the unit director said there will be another round of interview at the unit if they decide to let me go through the first round.

At this point, all I can do is wait until they reject me or invite me for another interview haha. It is what it is ?
