UCLA New Graduate Residency Winter 2019-2020

Updated:   Published

I am posting this forum as a place to discuss the UCLA Winter 2019-2020 RN residency application! As a quick update, the application just opened today Oct 11th and will remain open until Oct 20th.

Good Luck ?

I think this is what’s happening. They’ve sorted out people that they definitely want to see, and see them first before the holidays. And either it’s not a good fit or they take other offers or magically more spots open up etc., Or they just do in groups so it’s less stressful for them, but either way, I’m gonna be refreshing the application page all break lol

@JennChoi I’m still in denial at this point haha. Just cause there’s a tiny chance of this week and next week updates. Same I’ve been refreshing my email and profile nonstop all day everyday

Thanks so much for your reply, my date had 16! ? Here’s to hoping we both do well during these interviews!

Ohh. I hope so too. I guess it really is that competitive still. ??

It could also mean they’re looking to hire a good number of people too (or so I’m telling myself to keep my nerves at bay)! ? But seriously, wishIng you (and everyone) the best of luck on your interview!!!?

I like the way you think. You seem to be the "light at the end of tunnel" type rather than me, "that light at the end is a train" lol.

Any news for anyone else today?

No new for this peds hopeful : (. @radnurse101 have you heard anything? @nursejosiee congrats on your peds interview! When is it scheduled for?

I also applied for peds. I haven’t heard anything yet but I still have hope for all of us!!!

@radnurse101

Have you heard of any other interviews being sent out? I think I saw something mentioned about a FB page for the 2020 cohort.....I couldn't find it and I wonder if more peds people are on that group and have already gotten invites? Im starting to get suuuuuuuper nervous. D :

You applied the Lucile Packard new grad program too (I did also)? Where else did you apply?

@NikkiW1098

Have you heard of anyone getting an interview or rejecting letters? I am an out of stater (originally from CA but left for nursing school) so I don't have any fellow classmates who applied for this program and only get updates from on here! I know one person on this feed has mentioned they did already get a peds interview.

I have two classmates who have received rejection letters already. So I guess having an "in review" status may be a good thing. lol. Keeping my fingers crossed. Has anyone applied to other residency programs?
