UCLA New Graduate Residency Winter 2019-2020

I am posting this forum as a place to discuss the UCLA Winter 2019-2020 RN residency application! As a quick update, the application just opened today Oct 11th and will remain open until Oct 20th.

@foreverprenursing yes I just checked it right now and mine is still in review. Hopefully we hear something back soon!

Hi! Congratulations on getting an interview!!! I'm interviewing for the same unit as well! Do you mind me asking how many interview slots were available on the 10th? Just curious as to how many people the unit's interviewing for this cohort! ?

I believe there were 7 slots. What about your date?

It wasn’t specified on the email but I think it’s for Reagan (based on the name of the interviewers)

Just called HR! She said that interview invites can be sent out as late as January ? basically as long as your app says “in review” they are considering you still. If they decide not to interview you it will change to “closed.” Hang tight everyone! ???

January?!! That’s crazy!! So then we become like back up if the people they interview first rounds don’t fill the spots?

I think this is what’s happening. They’ve sorted out people that they definitely want to see, and see them first before the holidays. And either it’s not a good fit or they take other offers or magically more spots open up etc., Or they just do in groups so it’s less stressful for them, but either way, I’m gonna be refreshing the application page all break lol
