Hello Everyone! I just got a job offer for the acute med floor :nurse: the UD told me shes hiring three total best of luck to Everyone!!

Hey, did you read the info posted already about cardiac surg? I called her yesterday and she told me that the budget meeting that was supposed to happen last week didn't happen. She needs to get all of the new grad positions approved by the budget before she can proactively hire anyone. She said she has 7 people leaving this summer, so they should approve 7 new positions. She can hire as they leave I think? So it didn't sound like a matter of if the positions are approved, but when.

She told me to call back mid may so I think we have like 2 more weeks to wait

Don't lose hope!! I have applied to over 5 new grad programs before getting this.. USC opens May 1st and its right down the road from UCLA.

Hi!! YES I interviewed for the NICU!! AHHH I cannot believe how short the interview was. LOL I had so much more to say!!

Did the PICU Unit Director(s) give you any info on what you should look forward to? The NICU UDs told me that they'll be making their final decisions in a couple of weeks. AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I agree, the interview was very short and I only answered a couple of questions, but it was pleasant.

I didn't have time to ask them how many new grads they plan to hire!! I wish I would have! Then we'd know what our chances are LOL. I did ask them when they'd make their final decisions and the UD said in a couple of weeks!!

What time was your interview? Morning or afternoon? I wonder if I saw you!

I hope I did well enough too! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to work in UCLA's NICU. Keep us updated on your interviewing/hiring process!

The HR staff were incredibly nice and help calm me and the other candidates nerves. I was extremely nervous when I had my first interview at UCLA. I now understand why this hospital is # 1, the people working at UCLA are terrific. I really want to work at this hospital!!!!!!

For anyone that interviewed for neurosurgery, the nurse manager just called me and offered me a position. =) Hopefully you will be getting a call soon too.

is your unit director's initials B.A? the one who interviewed you? i dont know if neurosurgery/nticu have the same unit director's

Me too! I interviewed around 1030-1100!

I know, that benefits "meeting" after the interview got me hooked!
