Good luck to everyone interviewing tomorrow, I hope to see some of you there (PICU people!)
Hey Everyone,
Congrats to all who have received offers...and good luck to all those who are still waiting! Did anyone interview for the ED? I interviewed on the 11th but haven't heard back yet...I don't know if I should call HR because they said that if we haven't heard in 2 weeks to call back (two weeks was yesterday)? What do ya'll think...wait a little longer or call?
Hi Caligirl75,
I just caught up on these posts and also applied to the Santa Monica ED. My thought process was the same as yours so I called the unit director yesterday to ask about the notification timeline . She said that she's hoping to email everyone by the end of this week with either an offer email or rejection email. My opinion is that you don't need to call because she seemed extremely busy when I called and I am now hoping it didn't bother her too much. I'm glad I have the info to share, but hope that she didn't find my inquiry a nuisance.
Good luck and hopefully we'll meet soon as coworkers!
Merr, I also applied to the Cardiothoracic ICU. They told us to call at 2 weeks and so I called HR yesterday and they said that we should call the unit director instead and so I called B.H. (You can't post names so those are her initials). She did not answer and so I left a message and never heard back. I guess I'll just wait. Let me know if you hear anything! Good luck to everyone!
Hey Nursestudent2011,
I also called HR and was told to follow up with the unit director. I called and actually did talk to her. She said she had all the applicants information in front of her and was just going through it, talking to someone and making decisions. She said she would let us all know soon. It was a very hurried conversation and I didn't get in a question about a time-line. I did email an updated resume yesterday which she responded to telling me she received it immediately. If you hear something let me know and good luck!

Dear AngeeRN,
Thank you SO much for this information!! Don't worry about her thinking your "inquiry as a nuisance", I'm sure she is just getting a lot of calls as everyone is thinking the same thing we are! I'll be keeping an eye on my email, good luck to you too!:)
Do you think they call who they're hiring all at once? I know someone posted last week that they were hired on the unit I interviewed for (cardiac surgery). So I'm convinced it's a no, I just want to hear an answer..
Hey Allie58D,
Keep you head up, there is still hope. I am in the same boat as you in regards to unit and unit tour. She told me today that the final decisions are not been completely made yet, due to a delay in some budgeting numbers. The wait is driving me crazy too, but be proud you have made it this far.
Merr
