hey j6putnik, i think i read earlier in the thread that the OR interviews/hires were going to be last...so I think they are just now calling in people to be interviewed. I also was on the waitlist and then had to complete the references and phone interview after my in-person interview was scheduled. so, i think you have just as much chances getting hired as anyone else interviewing for OR. good luck!!!

Hey guys!!

So I've been following this thread, applied to the Summer New Grad program the day it opened as well. I will graduate with my BSN in a few days. I am a little bit confused about the process at UCLA -- I was waitlisted and thought that was the end of things, but now they are asking for references and I scheduled a Talent Plus interview...When I applied my first choice was the OR but I haven't seen much discussion about that on here. Do you think there's a chance I could actually get hired? Or are they just keeping their options open & so they want all of my info on file?!

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I was initially waitlisted too. After a week of being waitlisted, UCLA called me for an interview. I did Talent Plus, got my references, and went to LA for an in-person interview on the 14th. I got offered a position on the 21st. So... there is definitely a chance you could actually get hired. Good luck =)

Thank you for the encouragement!!! I read somewhere that waitlisting was their nice way of saying "we chose someone else...but thanks" so I'm actually really surprised and excited! Thanks again!! :-D

Hi all! Anyone interviewing for L&D on the 26th? And any advice on the interview process for UCLA? I am currently working as a charge nurse for a SNF, but L&D is my passion, and would really love it if I got hired here :) I graduated last July, but havent been able to find a job within a hospital setting yet. Initially I was wait listed, and received a call from UCLA this past thursday saying they wanted to interview me!

I'm still waiting to hear back from this unit. Have you heard anything yet?! Its killing me

i called the unit director for the liver transplant icu today (4/25), she told me final decisions will be made may 16. =/.

Heyallen,did she mention if she's gonna interview more people that's why shell decide on may 16? I though this wait is gonna end soon....

Hi sdk bsn!

I interviewed on the 14th with the unit director in charge of ortho and general surgery. I don't know if it's ok to mention names on this website so all I can ask is...did her last name start with an A. If so, I haven't heard anything back either. Hope this help. Best of luck!!

my understanding is that she's off this week. and then 2nd interviews/callbacks (?).
