Summer hopefuls talk here.... good luck to us all!!! :redbeathe
I have no idea... he just said I could start after the first MICU group finishes their 12 weeks of preceptorship. But I might do the first group if I can get everything together and moved in time. Are you starting in the ICU too?
No. I won't be in an ICU. It's cardiac surgery observation...so just shy of the ICU. Lol
Hi, RNShane! When you were called back for a second time, were you asked in for a second interview or was it a call inviting you to tour the unit? If it were an interview, was that done with your original interviewer or somebody else? Thanks!
1st interview was on 11th, got email for 2nd interview and to meet with CNS on that friday, went the following monday 18th. 2nd interview as just with the two CNS, the director stepped outside during the 2nd one. hope this helps.
I found out when I went back to my 2nd call back. They offered me the job during that interview (18th). I also got asked to start in 3rd week of May ( I guess since I already have my license), but I was under the impression I would be starting July...weird. Anyways, I did not ask about how many ppl will get onboard, but at least i know i'm not alone! where are you moving from?
hawaii. Thats so cool! yeah, I'm not sure how long its going to take to transfer my license after I pass the NCLEX. If I take it in June, it may take 4-6 weeks to transfer so depending on when in July he'd have my start it would be kinda close. I have to let him know if I'm doing July or Oct. So you're starting pretty soon then! That's awesome, are you from the area? Also, do you remember how many hours a week he said? I know he said day/night rotator...
Hey guys!!
So I've been following this thread, applied to the Summer New Grad program the day it opened as well. I will graduate with my BSN in a few days. I am a little bit confused about the process at UCLA -- I was waitlisted and thought that was the end of things, but now they are asking for references and I scheduled a Talent Plus interview...When I applied my first choice was the OR but I haven't seen much discussion about that on here. Do you think there's a chance I could actually get hired? Or are they just keeping their options open & so they want all of my info on file?!
Sorry if something like this was already discussed and I missed it!
Thanks in advance for any feedback!!
