Thanks. Sorry. Just so anxious and wondering what's going on with that unit..........

It's not until May for those who chose OR. OR interviews are on different dates rather than in April. That's what I heard. Hope we'll get what we've chosen. Best of luck to you and me all who chose OR :)

How exciting! Good luck, everyone :)

NICU interviewees, are you ready? I'm so anxious and nervous!

I wish it was already next week, the hardest thing is the wait...if we are only meeting with the unit director, and for 20 minutes, I wonder how much stuff we will be asked?? Can we expect to have a fast call back?

I wish I had a crystal ball .......what are you doing to get ready?

Good luck to everyone else!!!

Hi! I had my interview yesterday and the flow of everyone's interview was different for each person. They are just general questions to get to you know (why nursing, past experiences..etc) but again, the flow kind of depends on who you're interviewing with and your responses. but, just relax and be yourself! it's not too bad :)

also, the general answer seemed to be that we'll find out in two weeks. if we don't hear anything by two weeks, then we can call them and ask :)

good luck!!

hi everyone..what is the website to apply for the new grad program for UCLA? The link on their page doesnt take you to an application.

hey bonniem,

I'm sorry but the application deadline is over but there are other new grad programs with their applications up still- look at St. Vincents, St. Jude's, Methodist Arcadia, White Memorial, Whittier Presbyterian, and USC Hospital posts their applcation on May 1st. I post whatever new grad program I find open on the 2011 New Grad Applicatiob thread. Hope this helps :)

Do you meet with HR at all or just the unit directors for 20 minutes? Thanks and good luck all!

The way it worked when I went was everyone checked in at a desk and they made copies of licenses or certifications, then I waited in a room with everyone else until it was my turn to interview. After the manager interview, myself and others who had just interviewed were directed to a room, and HR briefly went over the employee benefits. Interviews were strictly held to 20 minutes.

Hey guys. I had my interview on Thursday, and at the very end of the interview she invited me to tour the unit on Friday. Which was beautiful!! (cardiac surgery unit) Did anyone else have this experience? I'm thinking she gave me a tour because I'm from NY and wouldn't be able to come back to see it.

Also do not stress about the interviews!! No clinical questions for me. Just why did you choose nursing, what do I think is the nurses most important job, etc.

I've been practicing with basic interview questions and reading some NICU articles (http://nicu-info.blogspot.com/)... aside from that, I don't know what else to do! I'm so anxious :p.

I wanted to hear from folks whose applications still reads: You have been contacted for an interview. I contacted the Program Coordinator trying to figure out whether or not I had been rejected since everyone here was talking about how they were getting interviews. She said they are still sorting through all the applicants and did not say I was out of the running because I hadn't heard anything yet.

I also know that with the last application there were lots of folks who heard things really really late. There were people posting that they were just getting jobs from the last go around while I was applying for this go around.

I graduate in a few days and, of course, haven't taken the nclex yet. So I felt like I wouldn't be at the top of the list for that reason but pretty much everything else in my application is great so I am not giving up yet.

I wanted to see if there is anyone else out there who has heard they aren't out of the running yet and WHO did you hear it from. I only communicate with the Program Coordinator listed on the posting. Who is everyone else calling?
