Hey there, I am planning on applying to the UCLA MECN 2016 program and was wondering if anyone else out there was applying as well. Just curious about other applicants and hoping to go through this application process with some other people! Would love any feedback. Thanks :)
I too received an email from Rhonda that I am on the wait list! I guess they have till April to offer positions but I wonder how many alternates are even chosen. I am on the wait list at Columbia (am not going now for several reasons even if accepted) but I would think more people that get in there would opt out rather than UCLA because of the costs. Perhaps not, but damn... 50K a year in tuition alone is horrific. I am SO surprised to be on the wait list, if I do not get in then at least I know what is most likely holding me back and can work on that for the next year. For those that did not get accepted or are on the wait list, I would be curious to know what it is you think is the crutch in your application if you don't mind sharing since if I don't get in this year I would like to apply next year. So far all I've seen on here is amazing applicants so what it takes to make it or break it is beyond me.
Hi all, unfortunately, I was not accepted into UCLA either. I had a gut feeling I wouldn't be accepted due to an outstanding requirement (automatic rejection - hahaha!), but there was always that string of hope. Anyways, congrats to all those who were accepted! Please pat yourselves on the back for making it through as it was a long and tough journey. :)
For those who were not accepted, if your ultimate goal is to become a nurse, then you will make it happen one way or the other. We'll all get to that final destination, but we may just need to take different routes to get there. The key is to not give up and believe that things happen for a reason. I was rejected from two schools already, but I was also accepted into another reputable Master's program. Although it would have been convenient to get into UCLA, the reality is I'll need to sail forward on another ship. I'm sure the adventure will be just as grand! Hang in there, and good luck! :)
I also got a rejection letter - second year in a row from UCLA. Apparently, I'm not Bruin material . @mrisajne - meanwhile, I got into Columbia, so just goes to show what a crap shoot it is ha. Hope you get into UCLA off the waitlist - I've heard lots of people do!
Sending good luck to everyone still waiting and congrats to all accepted!

I just got an email offering me a position on the waitlist. My status has yet to change on the website. We'll see what happens next.
