UCLA MECN 2016

Hey there, I am planning on applying to the UCLA MECN 2016 program and was wondering if anyone else out there was applying as well. Just curious about other applicants and hoping to go through this application process with some other people! Would love any feedback. Thanks :)

I did not receive a wait list number. I didn't at Columbia either but at least they told me they would look at the list later on and prioritize it then. I have no idea about UCLA. I'm still wondering how many of us are on there and how it works too.

As for the people notified about the waitlist, were you given a specific number or is it just random?

Hello, everyone!

I just wanted to congratulate all of you who were admitted and let those who were waitlisted know that I just relinquished my spot on the waitlist (I found out this morning that I was waitlisted) since I am starting UCSF in June!!! I wish all of you the very best and hope to cross paths with you as future colleagues. For those who didn't get in, just remember it's one application cycle. There is a school for everyone out there.

UCSF is actually a better ranked nursing program then UCLA. If you look up the ranks i think UCSF is number one and UCLA is number 5. So on that note CONGRATS!

I was thinking the same thing! Good on you gatewood! I didn't apply to UCSF because I didn't want to move up north, but wow - imagine if you would've gotten into both! You must be very qualified, congrats!

Anyone crack the code on how we are being notified? I've heard acceptances, rejections, and WT responses...is there any method to the madness? Or should we just sit tight and wait?

O.M.G, just found out that on their ranked wait list I'm in the top 5! I do hope, and will pray, that they let in the same number of those on the wait list as last year!

Hello All, I found out today I was placed on the waitlist! I am very excited!!!!!!!! Good luck to those who are still waiting for a response. I know this is nail biting time. Hang in there its almost over. :)

Ok you guys...so I emailed RF asking about my status since I haven't heard anything and she said "You were admitted into the MECN Program. Hopefully, you will receive an email from Graduate Division within the next 2 weeks. I plan to send an email by Friday."

So I'm in but my grad app status still hasn't been updated, which means that there may be other acceptances going out!!!! Keep hanging in there!
