UCLA MECN 2016

Published

Hey there, I am planning on applying to the UCLA MECN 2016 program and was wondering if anyone else out there was applying as well. Just curious about other applicants and hoping to go through this application process with some other people! Would love any feedback. Thanks :)

@FocusedOnBecoming,

Congrats on your acceptance into the program,

Thanks I appreciate your words of encouragement! This waiting game is truly something else but...all we CAN do is wait...lol

Hi

I have a question, with good toefl score for preparing RN exam 6month is enough? How it taken time for a graduate?

thanks

What does the toefl score have to do with the NCLEX? I don't understand your question :(

I'm not a grad, nor have I matriculated in the program yet but my understanding is that it is best to prepare for the nclex throughout the program and I believe throughout the program UCLA will do a good job at that.

I believe we will be tested throughout using an nclex prep approch( the way the questions are given are different from traditional test questions). Keep a nclex prep book readily available from the start of the program and utilize it right away while studying for courses in the program. I plan to order one today.

Team Waitlist : 0

Team Denial : 0

Good luck guys!!

Hey guys,

I heard last week and was denied admission. Still pretty bummed about it, but I suppose everything must happen for a reason. Congratulations to everyone who was accepted or waitlisted and good luck in the program!

Please don't bring any depressing stories to our thread. There are alot of us still waiting and so far we haven't heard of anything negative, so please don't come on here with that news. It's hard enough waitng and not knowing. Tell us about it closer to March.

Wait- those who were accepted early are "allowed" to post about that but because I was denied I am supposed to be quiet? That doesn't make sense. I started this thread looking for people for support through the application process and because I was denied I can't get that support anymore? It's not depressing story, its a reality. I'm sorry you feel personally affected by my denial from the university.

@ knenopoulos, I am very sorry that you did not get accepted and even more so that someone made that remark, perhaps it just came out poorly because we are trying to remain optimistic. I really appreciate you making this thread and I don't think it is at all inappropriate for you to post what you did. You're the first person to come forth with that news and I thank you for your honesty. You definitely have support here and maybe for those of us who don't get in can get some feedback from each other in the event that we want to apply next year. I myself am still waiting for an answer and have my doubts about getting in for several reasons, yet I know I will still be disappointed if that is the outcome. Going here is my number one choice so I know how you feel. :/

@knenopoulos I'm sorry to hear about your news... I wish you all the best.... don't give up... keep trying... :-) #ignoreher
