UCLA MECN 2016

Hey there, I am planning on applying to the UCLA MECN 2016 program and was wondering if anyone else out there was applying as well. Just curious about other applicants and hoping to go through this application process with some other people! Would love any feedback. Thanks :)

Don't be paranoid! You will definitely get into the program that's right for you. ..we all will! Ucla is a great school, so of course we want in because of the NAME. But a degree is a degree. I'm sure no one cares where you went...they only want to know that you went to an accredited school. But trust me, I understand how you feel, just don't be discouraged by the wait or the outcome. The right program has your name all over it...be patient and stay positive I'm sure you'll get into a great school and program!

Congrats to everyone accepted! Although I'm not feeling super positive; I think they are only accepting 50-70 students, so not hearing anything by now is not giving me an uplifting feeling. Crossing my fingers! Good luck to everyone :)

Congrats to all three people who got accepted! That's a BIG achievement! My application review may take time since I have a foreign Bachelors degree and verification may take time. Waiting game is the biggest suspense now.

Last year all acceptances, waitlists, and denials came in that order within a few days of each other so we should all hear back very soon.

Hey FocusedOnBecoming, congrats! I plan on just commuting to UCLA since I live close by. So I won't be applying for housing. Also, I did not apply for any fellowships. I wish I did though, but I got busy and didn't have time.

Also, the UCLA school of nursing will be emailing those who have been accepted discussing about further instructions. And we've got a week from the date they send that email (not the one from the graduate division) to SIR.

Congrats to all those accepted!! And for those still waiting, don't worry! Like what others have said, it's still very early in the process. I talked to the admissions people when I got my letter and they told they are working very hard to send out everyone's letter!

Nice that you live close! I currently live in Pasadena which I'd hate to leave but I don't think traveling that distance would be wise considering the amount of time studying I would lose everyday. I'm waiting to hear back about the fellowship I applied to, praying that I get it I really need it.

I'm rooting for everyone currently participating in the waiting game, keep the faith! I'm sure they are still working on getting those letters out. I'm partially waiting with you, praying for us all!
